Now if we can just keep her from shakin' it like a polaroid picture, she may be able to heal up in time for next boating season. Tell her we all wish her a speedy rehab and to listen to the experts! And you, Mike, continue to be a stellar brow-wiper, hand-holder, and flower-getter!

Research has shown that getting joint replacement patients up and walking right away results in significantly shorter recovery times and better function in the long run. You sir can be her cheer squad and keep encouraging her to keep doing her exercises!

Had left hip replaced last year. Knee is tougher. Rehab and doing the homework rehab is the secret to proper recovery. Good that surgery was uneventful. Best wishes for continued improvement. Told my wife the nice part about being 67 is that we get to go out to lunch more after doctor appointments...

Wog,
It's incredible what they do today with knee surgery. Recovery, rehab and back at moving around is so so fast compared to just 10-15 yrs ago.The pain factor and recovery is so so much reduced today.
I'm very glad to hear that all went well. Like Nurseman said keep the Admiral moving and Her Spirits High!
Best Wishes!

You know I DID tell her I could prolly make her a Peg Leg out in the Wood Shop but she wouldn't go for it. I brought her home today and she's resting comfortably in her own bed. I took off next week so I can take care of her and then the following week my Daughter is coming over to take over. I hope I can take care of Her Half as well as she has taken care of me over the years. Thanks again to ALL for your Kind words!!! It REALLY means a LOT to me and the Admiral!!!

Nope, I'm in NurseMaid Mode right now!!! Just tryin to be a Good First Mate and get the Admiral back in Ship Shape so we can enjoy the Blue Flaming next season with the Grandkids and the rest of the family. I have a LOT of Woodworking projects in the fire soooo I've decided to put ALL Boating Projects on hold for a while and get the WoodShop Cranked back up and start making a LOT of sawdust. I'll try and post some pics of the results if you all care to see!!
