No that was some that bigboatinokie shot. I still haven't gotten to ski behind her, spent most of the summer getting the engine issues ironed out! Hopefully I can start working on the swim platforms and new gas tank soon. I also have some wiring stuff to figure out, including why my trim gauge reads backwards!

Not a lot new to post on Miss Morgan. I have been tinkering with a new dust collection system for the shop and we are building a 9' tall retaining wall at the lake....guess that is sort of boat related since its at the lake! Things seem to be picking up at work....if that continues I should have some $$ to spend on Miss Morgan. I came up with this list, which will grow I'm sure!
  1. Have a custom tank built and install it
  2. Make a cover for the tank and add rear speakers
  3. I also want to add a "anchor locker" in the back....for some reason they always end up sideing back there!
  4. Finish up the wiring....I still need to add some wire clamps and zip tie up things.
  5. Rebuild Max's water pump and trim pump.

Oh yeah, fix the marker lights on the trailer....I have them hooked up too the brake light wire :D> I'm already ready for some warm weather and lake time!

Hey Arch! Happy Thanksgiving. I haven't been around in a while but I figured I'd stop in and say "Hi."
Glad to hear business is picking up again.

How's the wall coming along? Any more thoughts on your bow tank? I am wanting to do the same with my Flamingo but have not decided on what to do yet either. Thanks for dropping in on my post. Your insight is ALWAYS appreciated.

I'm just sayin...:D

Hey Mick great to hear from you! Hope things are going great up north...Wood, I'm actually headed east on Tuesday....my concrete contractor is planning on pouring the footing on Tuesday and the wall on Wednesday. I'll take some pics / video.....should be fun. Nothing like 50 yards of concrete (65 tons) being put in place by a truck that weighs 40 tons! No news on the fuel tank.....still waiting for $$$....I'm happy to give my two cents worth....for whatever it is worth, hope to meet up with you next summer.

Re: 16' Nescher ski boat complete restore- SPLASHED!!

Just wanted to give you guys an update. Lately I have been spending time with my Dad working on our lake place.....we wanted to make some upgrades that will eventually allow me to build a house right on the beach. We have spent several weekends "preping" the site, last week we had a contractor pour a retaining wall....nothing like 75 yards of concrete!

I'm hoping to get back to Miss Morgan soon, but this project has me tied up for now.

Arch,

It looks like you have had a LOT on your plate. I did not know Eufala allow you to build on the lakeshore. That is going to be on KOOL place. Keep us posted on your progress. I am slowly but surely leaning to sew but sewing vinyl, especially with piping is proving to be a challenge. I may have to break down and get my sis involved. So far been trying it alone, gleaning info from the web. I should have some pics and video up soon. Good luck with the concrete!!

I'm just sayin...:D

It is down about 4.25' from its normal "summer time elevation". The rest of the year they keep it 2' lower....usually it drops down a lot in the winter due to the lack of precipitation, then floods in the spring. I'm working on the design for the new "party deck" that will hang out over the retaining wall :D:D! LOL Wood I'm looking forward to seeing your boat next year, keep on going! We are lucky, our lot is one of the few where we actually own the beach....the Corp came by and looked at what we are doing, but they can't keep us from building it....now all I have to do is get that 100 truck loads of dirt hauled in and compacted, yeah! Should have stuck to boats!

Wood,

You might check out this thread over at TexasHotBoats.com A friend of mine just bought a machine off craigslist and started sewing his own interior. He had no prior experience. I can get you his email address. At the very least I'm sure he could point you to the sites he found useful.

Hey Vegas good to hear from you! Its actually 10' tall! I haven't gotten much done other than pouring it, the weather hasn't been very co-operative. I'm planning on putting in the french drain this weekend. After that I need to patch the tie holes on the back....after that I just need 100 truck loads of dirt! I'm hoping to get Miss Morgan out in a month or two and add the built in tank and swim platform....and tidy up a lot of little loose ends.
