Re: 16' Nescher ski boat complete restore- SPLASHED!!
Thanks Isaacm, it was a lot of fun building her. She is even more fun running around the lake! I have been looking for a Sleek like Vegas has, but a 26'. They are pretty rare around here, seems like most of them are on the west coast. Business is slow right now, so it maybe a while before I dive in on the next one. I would like to find one with a clean bottom....flipping a 26' sounds like a challenge to me! I'd like to find a nice hull that needs a one end to the other restore....just not bottom paint! I would actually like to take out the bow birth, cut out the bow deck and make it a mid-cabin with seats up front.....put in a tightly wound small block and a Volvo duo out drive.....I would think think that would be a fun ride. On the other side of the spectrum, I have toyed with the idea of restoring a house boat....a nice big one and doing something really cool with it. Right now I am just enjoying summer and Miss Morgan. I have a number of tweaks I want to do next winter. This weekend I'm heading off to David K's place at Tinkiller.....I should get some good video, he has promised to use one of his 4 boats as the camera platform!
