Yeah this is the fun part.....almost done and I can look back at all the pictures and justify all the time and money! I can't wait to ease her into gear...then shove the throttle to WOT! That will be a rush for sure! The hard part will be putting her in....then puttering around testing things out, checking out how she handles ect....

Thanks.....actually I need to get busy tomorrow cleaning the shop...its a freaking mess. It took me 20 minutes to find a drill bit tonight! That is a sign its time to clean!

I'm convinced it the squirrels "borrowing stuff" from the shop.....I know one some where has my line pliers using them to trim up twigs as he builds his house! Next thing you know I will start "loosing" levels and saws!

Did you already order the cables? I have a set of cables at my house I want to get rid of that are in perfect condition, but to short for my boat, and I don't know if they would work on an outboard motor or not. I really like how well the boat is coming around. You've really given me some great ideas to work with on my boat project.

Someone has way too much time! Wish I had known that NetMatirx, I was working on installing the ones I got today.....right now I'm in the house waiting to see what the T-storm that is heading my way is going to do. Right now looks like the normal lighting, thunder, rain, hail kind....but one never knows when things will get exciting!

What a tease.......... That merc is not wearing it's skirt! I want the full decals with a closeup of that merc!
Looking forward to some pics of the boat on the water and some completed photos of the interior. That rig should really have a nice stance on the water.

Thanks, it is really starting to feel like a boat! Tonight (despite the squirrels best efforts) I hooked up all of Max's controls....the steering cable went pretty easy, but hooking up the shifter cable to the control was a chore. The instructions read something like, "position shifter in neutral to access retainer and remove". The "retainer" lock nut, that you can barely get to with an open end wrench.....so after about an hour I got it put together. After that everything went pretty smoothly.

I was tempted to pull her outside and fire up Max, but I need to spend sometime checking over the electrical system....ohming things out....and tying off some "loose ends" that go to things that aren't installed yet. Hopefully after splashing her, I will have the tank issue figured out. That should allow me to get the interior finished up and the swim platforms built.
