Ha! I love you guys, but I'm planning on entertaining the ladies at the lake this summer! Besides, I wouldn't want to cheat you out of all the rebuilding fun! It is a nice feeling seeing it come together.....I was thinking on the way home how I need to make a to do list of what I need to get done before she is finished.....then of course there will be the "improvements" I'm sure I will make next fall! I was planning on taking tomorrow off to get 3 days on her....but naturally I didn't get billing done today. Hopefully that will only take me a couple of hours in the morning. I'm heading out to the shop to put the other seat in and ponder the carpet base and how to mount them. I have an idea in my head, we'll see how it works! I'm going to order the shifter and throttle calbes tonight.....getting close to splash down!

I've been following your resto for a while, great work throughout! Beautiful work, I wish I could make things look as nice as you do. She looks brand new! You'll be having fun on the lake this summer, that's for sure ! Keep up the great work, I'll be waiting for the next resto

Here are a couple of shots of the seats setting in Miss Morgan. I'm planning on running carpet up the sides of the bases. I'm toying with the idea of spraying bed liner on the exposed wood on the insides of the seat frames. My paint guys can tint it to any color I want. I could match the silver and continue the theme, what do you guys think? I could also hit it with epoxy again and spray it with a hammer tone paint, but it wouldn't be as durable.

Thanks boatguy94.....I have been toying with the idea of finding a sleek like the one Vegas has.....cutting out the bow and making it a mid cabin with seating in the bow.....a dual prop out-drive....but that will be a while! Miss Morgan is an expensive girl! This is an expensive hobby!

Tonight I ordered the control cables....splash well boot and three tires and wheels......now all I have to do is figure out the details around the seat bases....and the details for supporting the control cables......and finishing the wiring, oh and the radio, speakers, mounts.....ok back to one thing at a time! I won't mention the ski pole or the swim platforms!

Those seats are just sick. Nice looking interior for sure. And no windshield? Guess you'll be scraping the bugs out of your teeth. You will need googles too or you will be spending the day on the water crying...not much of a chick magnet...lol. Just kidding. It looks awesome man.

Lookin' good. I too, think a small windshield might be really handy, especially with a boat that fast!!! Anything over 35mph and a small bug can feel really big in the eye!:redface:
It looks sharp just like it is, though.
I'm still wondering how the under the cowl area on that merc can look so new. It even looks like all the plastic parts and plug wires and such are new. Very nice looking motor. I think it's the ideal motor for that boat as far as looks and speed go.
BTW, how fast are you expecting to go with the 115? About 50 or 55mph?

I've had one without a windshield before, it wasn't to bad. I just like the song says, gota get yourself some cheap sunglasses! About 15 more days on the stickers.....I might cheat a few days....DuPont says 45, but my paint store guys say 45. According to the prop calculator, she should run around 50 with the gearing the Max has. There is one other gear set available for that series of motor that was higher. It was used on the 135's and 150's for a few years. I think that is the only way you could get more than 50 out of her. But really 50 is pretty fast when you butt is 4" above the water! I think the Mercs like Max were the ultimate in outboards....litterly nothing runs, sound or looks like them. I think the newer ones are pretty non-descript from an ascetics standpoint...but that is the architect in me! Not mixing gas is really nice on the other hand!

I gotta say, it would look better with a windshield. Even if it's just a low profile smoked plexi kinda of deal.
