    Force 120 problem

As roscoe suggests; fuel related-check butterflies and carbs( floats, jets, needles) as well. Diaphragm/fuel pump would be my first stop. You got a filter before the carbs?? What year is your engine?

Force 85 won't shift into forward but goes in reverse help!

I found in my travels that not everything is per manual; manual is to get you there so to speak and the rest depends on many factors, such as elevation, temp, fuel, part quality, load, workmanship, luck, etc…certain final adjustments are made in respect to those factors. My two cents

Force 85 won't shift into forward but goes in reverse help!

Seems to me the shift rod is either screwed out too much or not enough. With mine…88’ 125hp; I’m about 3/4 turn out where it hits the sweet spot. Now I have another lower unit which is off a ‘90 120hp; it likes 2 turns out to flow in and out of frwd/n/rev like butter. But…when adjusting and...

    Float needle

My set up is different from yours but in my little brain it seems like the needle is not doing what’s it’s supposed to in that bottom percolator. I reserve the right to be wrong though

    Float needle

I’m certainly not an expert in regards to this particular issue you’re having, however, when I was having a leaky carb issue it turned out to be a tiny particle of paint or sand or something which was hung up in or on the wall of the jet inlet valve thing and this was causing the needle to get...

    Carb bowl leaking

Can’t be just any gasket material; needs to be specific to withstand fuel/oil etc. I’m sure you know

    Carb bowl leaking

Yeah those thin gaskets are well..thin, and if you don’t position that bowl on them just right; paying close attention while snugging that screw…the bowl then may not get a good seal. I actually made my own gaskets for that particular application, some Polish engineering and so far so good

    Carb bowl leaking

I doubled the cork gaskets on my carbs as I had similar issue back in the day and try not to over tighten that screw. Me; I’d stay away from putting any sealants there as with my luck -the adhesive likely would clog a tiny passage and lead to more problems-just me though
