Another Guy With Force 120 Issue

Anything can fail if not maintained. When I got my boat w/120 hp force on it. It didn’t have a buzzer; I ended up putting an after market buzzer and a warning light on it for good measure and the whole wiring was a mess, blown head gasket and everything else had to be gone through because when...

Really dial in your fuel mixture, and…when I had that same year force 120hp I also noticed that it would tend to like NGK BUHX PLUGS over Autolites and I even tried Champion UL18V’s but ended up back to the NGK because of the results I was getting. Compression numbers?? You mentioned blown head...

I swapped out with new and problem persists. Not overly too concerned just kinda annoying actually. I generally don’t go wot but if needed I’d like for it to be there without issues. I just hope it’s not something major. It’s got even ok comp although been a while since I cleaned the carbs

87 force 125hp high speed studder

Hey fellas My 1987 force 125hp has developed a slight high speed studder or miss. Any ideas as to what it may be? It only does it while wot. If I back off the throttle it seems to clear-

59’ Evinrude 5.5hp single fuel line conversion

After getting it all back together it fired up, however, it’ll only run with choke on. Could this mean it’s sucking air in somewhere? I did reuse the existing manifold gaskets as they did seemed ok to me-should I have used a bit of gasket adhesive on those? Also the low speed dial seems to have...

59’ Evinrude 5.5hp single fuel line conversion

So I’m converting this model to a single fuel line to eliminate the need for a pressure tank. After watching a few how to vids I think I’ve got it rigged up with a Briggs and Stratton pump, removing the small reed valves and plugging up the right side of the manifold. Any input into start up...

    59’ evinrude 5.5hp

Having a heck of a time putting the water pump assembly back together. When all tightened down; I cannot budge the drive shaft to turn by hand. The specs don’t show any gaskets between wear plate and pump housing and seems extremely hard to turn…any insight ??? Model 5518
