    Put a piece of bunk plastic between the wood and trailer bracket or frame. Otherwise the wood will not last long.

    I would not paint or seal the wood. It will stop the wood from drying after being soaked. Just use pressure treated wood.

    I called my nearby Pilot truck stop and they have a “CAT scale” where I can drag my boat to and get a full weight reading. They charge just $13 Which seems reasonable. Probably something every trailer owner should do at least once, to know what you are pulling vs what claims the dealers provide.

    I do need to get the actual weight on my boat setup. That single axle looks to be working too hard. Im at 5% if I weigh 3500#. And close to 6% at 3100#. Should I move the vertical support forward a few inches? How many? Ive been looking for a good used dual axle trailer to replace this one.

    Can I ask, Do you always see 70#? 70psi sounds high for oil pressure. 40# is what I see at 2500rpm. You may have blown a seal at that pressure. Consensus on google is 10psi for every 1000rpm

    WD40 has “Specialist” which does a great job of removing rust by soaking overnight. And it can be recovered and used repeatedly. You dont want anything to ruin gaskets and seals of course

    Broken leaf spring

    Does anyone lube their leaf springs? I hit mine with silicone spray to help resist the water and rust, but Im sure there is a better product out there.
