    It's happened to me many times. I topped off the tank too much and when the weather got hot the gas expanded and the vent burped gas. Not I stop filling the tank as soon as the nozzle clicks, problem gone.

    You need 50 parts gas to 1 part 2 stroke oil. You can buy the oil at walmart to west marine. Look up TC-W3 oil. You'll need to check/clean/replace any gas filters, water pump, lower gear case oil, plugs and old gas. That's just a start.

    How did the oil look? Was it oil color and hopefully not milk chocolate color. If it looked normal you are probably good to go.

    Agree with KJM. That's more than a drip check the filter bowl is screwed on correctly and any hose clamps are tight.

    Good job, that's what I did, other than the electrical tape. Tape won't do much good other than trap water inside. I use liquid tape over the heat shrink.

    As Kola16 said it's impossible to tell without a hearing the sound. Is it pumping ok? Is it a constant humming sound or does it change pitch?

    My raw water pump took a crap and I want to replace it. It's rated at 3.5 gpm @ 45 psi. It worked OK, it was free years ago so I can't complain. I'm looking at replacement pumps and have a question. Some pumps I'm looking at are rated for less gpm but higher PSI. What's more efficient in washing...
