Am I getting water of of fuel path Properly 150's J150VXCIS 2001 carbed 150'

I have been threatening to get one of the drainable sight bowls for some time now. I just replace my filter every season but it would be nice to know just how much work it does. I think the time has come. Gasoila is great for finding water in gas if you suspect your supplier.

Am I getting water of of fuel path Properly 150's J150VXCIS 2001 carbed 150'

If your tanks are a pain to remove and you have an air compressor you could make a vacuum with an air gun a T fitting and a length of hose using the venturi effect. Just a thought

What’s with all the metal dust around the coils. If the stuff is on the points they are far from clean.

Adding charging system to 1997 evinrude 25 hp

All the needed components are big money to do this. Your best bet would be to find a parts motor that has other issues. The research you need to do is cross referencing your model number with a parts motor model number.

What is necessary for jet change of .002 of an inch?

Maybe look into the strength of your spark after the 7 mins and see what it’s doing. Maybe something is over heating and your dropping that cylinder.

Tell tale getting clogged '96 200hp Oceanrunner

I’m not familiar with your model but can say I removed mine years ago and just run a longer section of hose that sticks out an 1” or so but I don’t have to deal with clogs anymore.

    Gas Tank Removal 4hp

Looks to be a 79 model. You can look for a parts diagram to help guide you through the removal process. Might even find one here on IBoats. Just enter your model number on a parts page. Best

    I’m at a loss - Evinrude 40

The timing light would be for looking for a miss. Nothing to do with the timing. A proper through link and sync procedure may help you to be sure butterfly opens when it should as opposed to how it should. You have nothing to lose by doing it.

1984 Johnson 35hp tell tale at idle

Yea it’s time for a water pump kit. That impeller is toast. They should be soft and pliable and the fins should be straight. What you have is called set and you don’t want that. The tips looked burned as well so it was likely run dry at some point and melted the housing. Imagine back in the...

What is the 12’ inflatable rated for. That’s a lot of motor for a little boat.

    1977 Johnson 35 - Won't start

When you get a new fuse grab a couple extras. Toss one in the tool box and tape one under the cowling.

    1977 Johnson 35 - Won't start

In my eyes by-passing a fuse is a bad plan and can cause much bigger $$$ problems. With a little luck the fuse just gave up but there may very well be a reason it gave up.
