What are your opinions on this boat?

A garage find like that is a good one, and a clean boat like that doesn't come up often. If it's your kind of boat, I'd work with the guy to tie the boat up, get it off the market with a refundable deposit. Make an offer contingent on getting it running. Local marinas and mobile mechanics are...

    2003 BF40A Honda 40hp tilt/trim issue

It sure sounds like it. Is the motor casing corroded? I've seen holes rusted right through them.

    Dead battery, dirty battery cables?

    2003 BF40A Honda 40hp tilt/trim issue

If it works at all, the oil level isn't the trouble. The fact that the relay is working "while on plane", tells me there's nothing wrong with that either. There could be an issue in the wires leading too or from it, but the relay itself is likely fine. Have you gotten around to checking your...

    2003 BF40A Honda 40hp tilt/trim issue

Dirty connection is the most likely bet IMHO. Are both sets of trim controls acting the same (the set on the motor and the set on the control/dash?

Honda BF75 beeping alarm and reduced rpms

Anything fuel related is NOT going to set that alarm. The engine may run terrible, but it's not going to sound the alarm. You can stop looking there for sure. That much I can help you with. I'm betting this is temp related, but I can't be much more help there. You mentioned the sensors were...

    Pontoon parts?

It's going to take some homework (google and e-bay searches) for sure, but there are many different outfits that specialize in the ladders, as well as others that specialize in the aluminum railing (and doors) used on pontoon boats. Pontoon boat manf's generally DO NOT make this stuff...

Honda BF75 beeping alarm and reduced rpms

Do either of you have an infra red thermometer? Something like one of those can tell you quickly if the motor really is over heating. Doesn't have to be an expensive exotic thermometer. I think I paid 15.00 for the one I bought ages ago. Is your garden hose hooked to something that can deliver...

Honda BF75 beeping alarm and reduced rpms

Are you doing the work on the motor, or having it done? If you changed the thermostat, was the thermostat and the housing it fits into all crudded up? Are you absolutely SURE the thermostat was changed? Good water flow from the pisser?

Honda BF75 beeping alarm and reduced rpms

Is this a salt water motor? This sounds like an engine that's all cruded up internally due to being run in salt/brackish water and not rinsed regularly?

    Sanpan Pontoon Electrical Issue

The only thing I can share that might help is the fact the fuses are generally in an easy to access place.

    Sanpan Pontoon Electrical Issue

Many boats have a fuse block located very near a switch panel like that, where the fuses for all those accessories are located. I would start looking for a bad/loose/corroded wire or connection there.

Older Boats Not Welcome at Lake George, NY

Several states have so many launches you would pretty much need to go county by county to keep them organized.....

    Skinny water boat.

Look at the smaller center console "bay boats". They're generally shallow draft. I know what you're talking about regarding stability, so maybe avoid anything w/less than 72" beams?

    Prop change or not

Whatever will let the engine develop max rpm. If your max is 5000 or so, and that 11p let it turn 4750-5250, that 11 would be pretty close.

    Prop change or not

If you aren't towing anything, prop pitch isn't that critical. You don't need to make max power, so a prop that won't spin to full rated rpm isn't an issue. Sounds like an 11p or 12p prop will both work fine. Pontoons don't need anything special, so a cheap prop works as well as a good one. I'd...

Older Boats Not Welcome at Lake George, NY

So bottom line, owning an older boat has nothing to do with the lake. It's the PIA marina that's giving you the headache. Just find a different one.

    I/O in a tritoon

Second the big issues regarding servicing an I/O, and doubling down on the fact it's an OMC I/O. Stay with the outboards now, and thank yourself later. I would suggest you do the job right and go 4 stroke outboard for a decision you will never regret. Beyond all that, an I/O pontoon works...

2007 BF225 - Trouble Removing Propellor Shaft / Dog Clutch

Nope. He's thinking the same thing I am. Talking about the lower shift shaft. It may be engaging something that's not allowing you to pull the prop shaft.
