    1 remove the flame arrestor and verify choke is open a 1/8 inch unless your a newer motor with TKS 2 place control in throttle only warm up, and try pumping when cranking. 3 if this fails, pour about 2 Oz of gas in the carb and try to start

    No, you dont try to do that with the drive attached. If the tool slid in and the drive went in with no resistance your most likely very,very close to correct alignment

    Chris,Its a Bravo. drive must come off, remove nut remove cable core, remove outer sheath by pulling out thru the shift bellow. R/R bellow , Too great a chance of kinking the cable and sheath

    If the engines are original there is a small aluminum tag just above the starter post that number so we can figure out the year at least.

    If this is an Alpha1 the bearings slide off the gear and you just tighten the nut to torque. If this is a Alpha ! GEN II you just need to loosen the bearing slightly. install and use rolling torque method

    I believe the manual is trying to say #24 is the small ring and #25 is the large ring. #25 indicates 2 but the second one may refer to the new type with "rolling torque" that only uses the large ring
