    198x SS-150 rebuild

My vote would be to replace with solid rivets. My SS16's splashwell was also fitted together with rivets. Since I had a customer splashwell made I had it welded, but if I had used the original I would have riveted it again too. Mine were in similar shape too. Once the hull structural...

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

Interesting failure, usually its all or nothing. Not sure how a partial could happen unless it burned up somehow and has a lot of resistance inside. Either way, hopefully a new solenoid will fix it for you SHSU

    1978 Supersport 18

Depending on how big the holes are and such there are a couple methods. As other have stated, JB weld with a back patch sanded smooth. If a small hole probably could get away without rivets, if it is a big hole, might want to add a couple rivets to the patch. JB Water Weld is the other...

    1978 Supersport 18

Nothing like a good shakedown to figure out what you like and don't like. A new motor is always a great wish, just so hard to justify the cost (For me at least). SHSU

What is your plan of attack? Are you going to do a couple lake runs to get a feel of what is needed or just going to rip into it? SHSU

    New Journey

Life happens and family comes first. Mine has two. don't think it makes much of a difference if properly sloped. Etching has a shelf life. Oxidation starts once the raw aluminum is exposed to Air. SHSU

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

Interesting, not sure why they would have done that, but it lasted this long so can't be that bad. Sounds like a starter solenoid, but you have a good test plan. You should find the issue pretty quick. SHSU

    1978 Supersport 18

Make sure to check your bearings and that the grease is still good. Also tire life, while they may look good anything over 5 years would be something to consider replacing. SHSU

1975 StarCraft Mariner build "The Unicorn"

Man that is a pretty tank!! You get that built or you do it yourself? Noticed you double barbed through the splashwell for the fuel line. Any reason you chose that vs running the line through? SHSU
