Best fuel stabilizer for older 2 strokes

Original poster asked if there was a preferred stabilizer for e10 vs e0 fuel, presumably for long term storage, as that’s what fuel stabilizer is for.

Best fuel stabilizer for older 2 strokes

We've all smelled gas that has gone bad, so how does no stabilizer prevent that from happening to the fuel left in the tank? Sometimes it can go bad over a winter, but usually longer. I've actually used 4+ year old gas that was treated with sta-bil, with no issues. If I had to use e10 gas...

Lake depth and how shallow can you run?

Gotta go where the fish are. Don't have an hour + to get up the channel, so... I trust my chartplotters. One has LakeMaster chip, the other has Navionics chip. I just have to remember to adjust the water height offset for current conditions.

    Wiring Problem on Tilt trailer

Run a separate white 16 or 18 gauge ground wire from the wiring harness at the coupler, to each light. Do not try to use the trailer frame as a ground. Its waste of time, as you have already found out. Spend the $10 and be done with it.

    Skiing behind vintage StarCraft Jupiter

doubt you'll get any wake for wakeboarding, unless the person weighs 450#. Had a'66 Nassau that threw very little wake at all. Skiing - a larger aggressive skier will likely pull the back of the boat around a little.

    spin-on gas filter

Smaller boat, exposed area where filter would be located???? You don’t want the filter drain to get bumped or broken. Go with an all metal spin on filter. It will work fine with the small motor. I have used them with 6 hp, 8 hp, and 15 hp mercury motors for years. The filter is not...

Fuel setup two outboards, one tank.

My set works for me. Possibly because the fuel tank and separating filter are on the same level. And possibly because my primer bulbs are positioned vertically ( arrow pointing up ).. If it doesn’t work for someone else, they can always pull the fuel line off the other motor as a temporary fix...
