    Have a Formula 233 that i have no idea what year it is. The hull # is F 2312188 and it's (NOT) an 88 The 88 formulas had curved windshields. It was sold as a 1978 but i have my doubts. After 1972 the last two gigits in the hull#s are the year. So must be pre 73. Here's some pics if anyone knows...

    Mercruiser outdrive ?

    I picked up a parts boat that had a 488 4cyl Mercruiser in it. engines junk, The Drive is an Alpha 1 but it's a 2-1 ratio. can that be used on a 5.7 ? I know it calls for a 1.50-1 Or should i sell the 2-1? I read somewhere the 2-1 was a high altitude ratio?

    4.3 Questions

    I want to repower a 23'er I have a 190hp 4.3 4brl carb engine in my 21'er and loved it. Wondering where or if i can get a 4.3 carburated that can put out atleast 230 hp for the 23'er? Any reasonable good engine dealers that are recomended? thanks

    1970s Formula 233 question. If you had a choice between the 233f and 233s Which boat would you buy? pro's cons? The F is the fisherman and the S is the sportsman. The F has more deck and less cuddy. The Sportsman has more cuddy and less deck. Any opinions as far as better in rough water? Thanks

    OMC Swap info?

    I have a 1986 Omc4.3 v-6 from a cobra setup. And i have a 1984 Chriscraft Scorpion with an 800 drive and had a 5.0 v-8. I would like to install the 4.3 in that boat. Will the cobra manifolds match up to the exhaust tubes on the 800? Any other info on this swap would be helpful. Can and can'ts...

    Alpha ID ?

    Serial # OB 588953 Year? And it came off a 488 4cyl But not sure of the ratio. It seems like two shaft revolutions to one prop revolution. Couldn't see the letter on the splined yoke nor do i know the location it would be on the Yoke. Any help would be great thanks

    Anyone know?

    If there is a way to bolt a 155hp V-6 Buick engine to a Cobra or Mercruiser Alpha 1 setup? Is the buick bolt pattern different from a sb GM? Is there a bellhousing/coupler? Also would need to plumb exhaust too, huh? It has an OMC stringer which i'd like to do away with.

    Good compression and fuel pressure from pump. I took carb apart and cleaned it with carb cleaner and blew it/jets out good, carb was pretty clean.
