    Someone may have installed the shift shoe incorrectly. Remove the drive and check to see. Looking down from the top of the drive the brass shoe is straight for Fwd. Turned slightly to the left CCW, is neutral, turned all the way to the left CCW is Rev.

    Did you check the cable operation before mounting the drive? Did you check the drive shifting before you mounted it? Without telling us WHAT you bought and WHAT drive and WHAT serial number its impossible to answer you correctly

    The oil pressure sender will not alarm if no pressure is present. The oil pressure alarm will alarm with no oil pressure as well as high engine temps. oil pressure senders unlike the alarm wire. will have a light blue wire attached switch

    Easily solved by using a small AGM battery and a diode. With the diode in place TO the battery and a wire from the +12v side of the harness to the diode you will keep the battery charged when the engine is running and will not draw from it when starting the motor.

    Customer bought the new Pro Torque starter but it didnt come with bolts, went to same dealer and asked for starter bolts for a ProTorque .Recieved Quicksilver 10-805343 2 . A tiny bit too long.Had to add a drive mounting washer to eack bolt to actually get the bolts tight otherwise loose bolts...

    If there is fuel in there now pump it into containers ,etc. Then fill with water to almost the top. Fuel will be on top. syphon it off, fill to the top with water and drill away.. Pump the water out let dry using shop vac on"blow"

    the last inch by hand. If thats true you do have a issue. You need to remove the drive and start inspecting the mechanism for excessive play. then check the brass shoe in the drive. Fwd is exactly straight ahead, no ifs ,ands ,or buts. If you think of fwd as 6:00 turning the shoe...

    Apparently this is the new style (pressed on bearings). I assume I don't need to remove all off the shaft, just back off some tension and re-set the rolling torque with new nut and washer... correct? If you indeed have the Alpha 1 and the gears are the originals ,remove the nut and slide off...
