Hi all. I have a 1985 Evinrude 70 (no power trim/tilt). It seems that the tilt piston/cylinder assembly is dry. It's really hard to move the engine up/down and it makes a nasty creaking noise. Can someone give me details on how to fill the cylinder (or suggest a link to directions). I can't...
Hi all. I have a 1977 17.5' Hourston Glascraft hardtop. I need to install an 8" inspection hatch in the deck as I believe there is some water in the hull. Can anyone tell me where the stringers are located under the deck so I can get a rough idea of where to cut the hole. Many thanks.
With some older outboards it's necessary to fill the gearcase from the bottom drain hole till it comes out the vent at the top to get the air out. Is it required with this engine or can I just put in the drain and fill from the top....or does it matter. Thanks. Martin
