I wasn't sure if the paint would take to the spar varnish on the transom but figured I would try and if it didn't, fix it. Well, it seems to be fine so now when the back splash pan is installed it will all match.

Not sure if I should go to the Dr. or just see if it passes, but for the first time, I am experiencing symptoms of MBS. I made the call tonight and may be picking up another project this weekend. I will update if I pull it off.

From Harry Nilsson

You put the lime in the coconut, you drink them both together,
put the lime in the coconut, then you'll feel better.
Put the lime in the coconut, and drink them both up,
Put the lime in the coconut, and call me in the morning.

Or (My apologies to the Rascals )

I was feelin' . . . so bad,
I asked my family doctor just what I had,
I said, "Doctor, . . .
(Doctor . . .)
Mr. M.D., . . .
(Doctor . . .)
Now can you tell me, tell me, tell me,
What's ailin' me?"
(Doctor . . .)

He said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Yes, indeed, all you really need . . .
(Is good tinny)
Gimme that good, good tinny . . .
(Good tinny)
All I need is tinny. . .
(Good tinny
Good tinny, baby.

Re: You Guys Inspired Me!!!!

GA thanks for the encouragement during my sickness, and yes Dozer I am bit for sure!

Well I got 2 surprises today.

1. My vinyl finally showed up!!!!!!!

2. The admiral bought new seats for the SS without telling me and they also showed up.

So I am officially out of excuses to make some progress.

Actually got the vinyl dry fitted, so this weekend should be productive if I can avoid working.

As for the Nautolex Vinyl I really like the product but sure wish they had a bigger selection of colors.........I would have liked a little darker gray, but all in all I think it will be fine.

Woo-Hoo - goodies. :D If you boat bare footed, you will appreciate the lighter color. It goes nicely with the darker painter.

Seats and vinyl go good together, gotta love it when the Admiral spends money on the boat.

I'm sorry to hear about your newly acquired illness...as glen said, it's not "IF"...it's "WHEN" the symptoms start to reveal themselves....in your driveway

Great color choices for the seat vinyl...ties everything in really well! :thumb:

I think the perscription for this disease is an hour of Craigslist a day takes the pain away.

Thanks for the comments.

Truth of the matter is you and GA Are exactly right, but when your standing in your driveway staring at it and the temp is 65 outside you don't think about it like that:joyous:.......Thanks for the reality check.

Re: You Guys Inspired Me!!!!

Vinyl installed, consoles and front seating group installed, new plywood for front area cut out. Then I figured out how tall of pedestals I need for my seats. I cut down two buckets, one at 9" and one at 12"........9" is perfect.

Question for anyone who has installed Nautolex before. I used the S-18 glue that they recommend and I am not very impressed. It seems to work excellent glueing to the aluminum but glueing to the plywood over spar varnish did not seem to stick very well, it almost seems like it reacted to the varnish. Was curious if anyone else had this problem.

Overall I like the vinyl (as long as the glue holds:facepalm:) and like how clean it looks. Now I am going to wrap the front plywood pieces with Nautolex then have my upholstery guy make me some cushions to match my seats to throw in on top of them.......the plan is if its just the guys going fishing cushions stay in the garage and fish guts can get all over the vinyl and just hose it off.......non fishing trip and the girls go, throw in the cushions.
