Yes, they are actual court cases. They just don't take place in an actual court. They are a binding arbitration. But yes, they are real court cases.

I don't care where its settled just so I get my money, which I did.
Not based on law though so it it not a court case. Just a mediation.

YES, THEY ARE REAL COURT CASES.

The People's Court | About

I find it hilarious when people say "The People's Court" isn't real because Marilyn Millian isn't a real judge. Well, she's had more time on the bench than the old guy who was the justice of the peace that settled my case. She's been a real judge for 19 years. The old man I dealt with is just a justice of the peace, nothing more. He drove school busses before being elected JOTP. He is JOTP in a town of under 1000 people.

If I am called and asked if I'd like my case decided on TPC and I say yes, it doesn't make my case fake.

Some, depending on the show start as real cases but they are not real court cases under the law. Some are just just cases the show takes. They are not the same as normal government run cases.

OMG, I seriously can believe this is still on here and still going strong too. Amazing how things like this turn into a major issue with two neighbors that now will never ever get along again. And that is sad because one day one or the other will need the help of the other... I wouldn't want to live in those condition with a neighbor. That is going to be a very tense existence forever now!

Of all the folks I know who own homes, very few of them get along with their neighbors. I personally like mine but we live i the country so I only have 2 neighbors and for the most part you have to be somewhat like minded just to want to live out there LOL

one friend of mine hadn't even gotten their new home built when they caught the neighbor driving over to steal gravel from a pile that was there for their driveway. good way to start.

I will never need assistance from an 80 year old ******* who can't keep his dog contained and who refuses to take responsibility for his actions. He might need me one day, but I sure the hell don't and won't need him.

Did you read the website I sent you? The show gets all their cases from FILED SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASES AROUND THE COUNTRY. Nobody goes to them first.

Sweet deal, this joker ended up paying triple, that will grate his gut good. At 80 years old, I wouldn't expect much to change, and I will bet you could care less. I know I wouldn't. Some people just are angry mean and have no common sense. Too bad one lives close to you. I have the Beverly hillbillies living next door to me, they have dogs (4-5) that kill other animals, kids that play with fire tipped batons, half painted house, trash stacked everywhere. Bent my fence really good, promised to fix it after I mentioned it, but have done nothing. I wont waste my time asking again, life is too short to drive home and end up in a foul mood. I planted 50 cedar bushes on this property line, and he wont exist visually in short order. They are a real eye sore to our nice subdivision, Animal control knows them on a first name basis, the poor dogs have to live with with these idiots too.
