These speeds seam i bit high. The question I ask is how well does you rig do what you need it to.

'86 century 6 meter 260hp alpha1 19p turbo prop 50.2 at 4100 rpm low on fuel and just me or full of fuel(40gal) and overloaded with people and gear 49.6 at 4050rpm

'80 starcraft ss 18' 200merc 19p turbo it doesn't matter what the load is 53 at 6000rpm all speeds are gps.

Rinker 192 4.3 efi. 53 gps on smooooth water, too scared to push any more.

Does the boat handle that badly that you're afraid of it at 53 MPH???

53 MPH is pretty slow to be running into handling difficulties. Only thing I could imagine is that it's porpoising, trim in a little in that case.

I'm guessing all our "top" speed numbers are with trim up as far as possible without being out of the water. I lose several mph if I am trimmed down just a little. Is it just me or do heavier hulls seem faster than lighter ones? I have two similar sized glass bowriders. One three times heavier than the other, similar top speeds but the heavier one just feels faster at wot.

It's just you . . . Closer to the water seems faster to me i.e. lower profile hull, but lighter hulls "feel" faster to me and if everything else is equal, always are.

21 Foot Doral, 4000 pounds or so, 5.7 Gxi DP. Best speed I've recorded on GPS so far is 54.5 mph.

21' Offshore with 200 ocean pro i do 45mph on gps with an average load. its a deep-v center console boat with a T-top, 8' beam, not sure of the weight.

16'6 Princcraft with 70hp 2 stroke 'rude. I get 33mph on GPS (and speedo) with a full tank, all my gear and just me in the boat..... (55kmh)

Yeah, I am not entering the main squeeze . . . Right now I'm thinking Philster's the only one I'd beat with that one.

This sounds like this would be a fun day out on the water, I was wondering if I could come out to play with you guys in my 21ft laveycraft.

55 mph on run but didnt record prop before replacing the damage the same day. The next year with 14 x 21 and stingray fin stern drive 52 mph. Going stainless 14x 19 for more bite and higher rpm .1990 192 Magnum King Cobra OMC RIENELL 18FT ISH
