I pull my Four Winns 170 Horizon with a 2002 GMC Yukon, 2wd and the 5.3L V8. No issues, I feel like it could tow considerably larger if that day ever came around. Truck has 200k on it but 95% of that was put on south of the mason Dixon line so its in mostly rust free good shape.

New-to-me 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 ST with 5.7l Hemi, tow package. Rated to tow 8,500#. Yeah, I know, kinda marginal for my boat (in signature).

I haven't towed anything with it yet but last week I acquired a 2014 Ram crew cab hemi 4x4, 8 speed with the 3.92 rear posi and tow package. I'm pretty anxious to see how it does with some weight behind it. My previous tow vehicle was an '09 Ram with the 4.7,2wd, and 3.55 open rear, after not being able to get up a ramp in a thunderstorm I knew it was only a matter of time before i'd talk myself into a 4wd.

I'm towing my Princecraft Pro 162 with my VW Golf GTI DSG.

The towing weight of the whole package is 1525lbs (that's with fuel tank full, 2 battery and all the gear)

The VW is a great tow vehicule, especially since it's chipped. 345 TQ@ 2500RPM.

With the huge ventilated brake it brake very hard and the acceleration is very smooth and easy.

Have never had any wheel spin at any of the ramp I use.

What I like the most : 30MPG while towing on the Highway at around 65mph.

I also towed that boat with a 2012 Hyundai santa fe V6, but the lack of power and weaker brake really didn't inspire confidence, the braking distance with the santa fe were attrocious compared to the GTI, also that V6 really doesn't have the low end torque of my 4 cylinder.

The DSG transmission is also great for towing, for my next car, I will probably buy a Tiguan TDI if it come with the DSG and 7 passenger seating.

Only if you've got pictures. That is a serious truck. Somewhere earlier in this thread someone posted a pic of there Kenworth Tractor pulling their bass boat. That was pretty crazy, but yours may be just as cool.

Lol, I might be in the running! I recently acquired a '07 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 Quad cab long bed diesel dually, and may pull my 12' jon boat with it.

It'll be interesting to back up, that's for sure....
