2003 Ford F-250 4X4 7.3l Powerstroke Diesel Auto, 4" turbo back straight pipe, DIY intake getting 18 mpg standard driving, 15 mpg pulling the boat and 8 mpg pulling the 18,000 lbs in this photo. Can't beat a turbo diesel!

When I get my 1983 Wellcraft 248 fisherman dual yamies back
together I'll pull it with my 1987 f250hd 4x4 xlt lariat with its 545 Probe Racing stroker motor. The 460 was good, but this should be gooder.

I pull a 26 foot Starcraft with an 2004 2500 Dodge Cummings 6L with Quadzilla race chip, menthol injectors, blue tube intake, FTI filter, 4" SS pipe turbo back, Glacier ice lift pump, TAG, ROC timing sensor, making some where over 600 horse power and getting 27 mph at highway speeds. I don't even feel the boat back there !

Have to try to find a picture,
2002 Tahoe 4x4 4.8L with tow package, only time I feel the boat is if I'm trying to merge quick and get up to speed but other then that it is a perfect match!

Alot of credit I give to the trailer, this is my first time owning a NICE trailer, (2010 5 star) with disc brakes it makes a HUGE difference, I feel NO difference in stopping distance with boat on or truck unloaded. And just in general being new, I feel safer/ more secure compared to some of my previous trailers. We had a 19ft before on an old crappy trailer and it was a handful although it was a "storage" trailer and rarely left the neighborhood.

I pull my 1997 Larson 206 with either my 2005 Ford Expedition 4x4, or my 1997 Ford Expedition 4x4. I like pulling with the'05, cause it matches the boat better. My 1997 also pulled my 2003 Sundancer 24' Tritoon Pontoon before I sold it. The pontoon weighed less, boat the Larson pulls better, because it is tucked in behind the truck. The pontoon was like pulling a shorty tractor trailer.

I pull my 1982 Baja 16SS with my 2008 Dodge Avenger (2.7LV6). Never had any problems as the whole boat/motor/trailer is under 1500lbs. The whole towing package however cost me almost as much as the boat did.

Re: What do you pull your boat with?

I have a 2011 Kia Sorento (Bought 1-2010). It has a little over 10,000 miles on it with no problems. How has your experience been with yours???

We have a '99 kia sportage that has been rock solid with the exception of the vacuum hubs. Vacuum hubs are a bad idea no matter what, they will eventually fail. Kia used them for a couple years, and then dodge picked the EXACT same hubs for a couple vehicles. (durango i think was one model that got them). Replaced those with a set of manual Warn hubs, and its been rock solid since. Currently looking at a kia borrego now.

That little sportage is a good vehicle, just not nearly enough power. Its a body on frame suv, probably the smallest one in existence. It weights A LOT, and has the aerodynamics of a flying brick.

That's good to hear. The Borrego is a good looking rig.

Pull the boats with a 2003 Chevy 2500 HD, 8.1 L big block. With the Procraft, I can't tell it's hooked up. The duck boat (all 400 lbs including trailer and motor) however really bogs it down!
