The Guy I bought it from said it originally had a 305 ci chevy that was worn out,so he replaced it with a 400 ci chevy. It has an edelbrock intake, and edelbrock carb, and purs like a kitten. He said it has the original 305 valve covers on it.

All the gauges work except for the "Trim" gauge.I am going to change the "Temp" gauge because i had it running for about an half an hour in my driveway, and it never hit 100 degrees (has a new Temp sending unit) that i installed.

If anything, this "club" has solicited some pictures of great boats, so I'd say good on you forthe club. Has it been officially titled yet? if not, that could be an interesting thread.

Man, they are coming out of the woodwork. Awesome. Yes it counts even in rehab. Welcome all the club, where tri hulls are plentiful and fillings are few.

Re: Tri-Hull Club...Yes? No? Maybe?

Ok I'm in! Sold my 13.3 Whaler, and bought this 1980 17 foot Imperial. New paint and interior, just needs a starter on the original 75 horse Chrysler. It has the snapps for a mooring cover, but I can't seem to find one anywhere? Anyone got any leads on one? Would like to get one to snap on so I can leave it in the water without it getting full of rain and leaves and stuff. Also need to install a bilge pump, but all in good time!

Good looking boat. You probably won't find a tarp for it. You will have to have one made for it. Welcome to the club.

Re: Tri-Hull Club...Yes? No? Maybe?

Hello all...

I just found this site and love it. I grew up on Clearlake, CA and have been around boats most of my life. But, I've never owned one myself, until now. I just got my very own first boat.

It's a 1978 Ranger Tri-Hull - So YEA, count me in da club. It has a 305ci Mercruiser I/O.

Re: Tri-Hull Club...Yes? No? Maybe?

Where in SW Ohio are you? I am in Hamilton, where do you like to boat? East Fork, Brookville, Ohio River?

I live in Dayton but I'm from Georgetown, OH. We mostly boat on the Ohio River near Ripley but frequent Ceasar's Creek on occasions. I've been on East Fork a lot but it's too small and always too crowded unless you want to go fishing in the wee hours in the morning.

Where do you boat at?
