Re: Tinstock Accommodations Thread! LOOK!!!

the 21 in the serial number is not the lenght, but the 74 @ the end means it's a 1974 !! ( fellow '74 owner.. !! )

Grab a 25' tape measure and check.

Re: Tinstock Accommodations Thread! LOOK!!!

Thanks for the advice cool!! Lancaster and York aren't that far away.. From looking around I think I have the 18'. From my info the only larger one was 20' with fold down tabels and mine is sans tabels. It was suggested for domestic tranquility that I finish the HoneyDew list before turning my attention to the "other woman" sitting in the driveway!! Lol.. So.. I haven't even measured her yet.. but I'm itching to start!! Been reading a lot of the threads on Starcrafts and Merc I/Os. Pictures and pressure washing on Sunday.. even if it snows!! Hey cool, would a '68 Harley qualify in the "cool bike" area??

Matt, you're on the list for a room. Go to the beginning of this thread and you'll find the place. As long as I have your name on my list you can contact the motel and book your room the last week of December.

BTW the boat-in movies sound pretty awesome, haven't had that experience before. Pretty pumped about the fishing in Lake Anna as well, walleye and monster bass? Sounds like a great weekend;)

HA,
You got the last room with a free slip. It's bass and stripers.

NB thanks...I checked the website for the place...they did say they have some walleye, but I should go for striper for sure since I don't get any chances for those in the great lakes:D

Re: Tinstock Accommodations Thread! LOOK!!!

I think a fish fry would be a great idea for the event, there are huge largemouth bass, striper, walleye(pickeral), perch, bluegill and other species too that will taste great all fried up.

Also the website NB linked claims that after May 29th there are bass tourneys every friday night, it would be nice to pay for some of the gas to drive there by catching a fish worth some cash;)

From the website:

As a result of its much deserved reputation, Anna has become a "must" stop for most serious fisherman throughout the region, and is a favorite on the local bass tournament schedules.

The ongoing lake management program provided by VDGIF and the abundant population of baitfish such as threadfin shad, gizzard shad, and blue-black herring, has resulted in Lake Anna becoming the premier bass lake in all of Virginia. In fact, Anna consistently produces more citation bass (8 lb or 22 ") each year than most other bodies of water in the state.

Lake Anna has also become one of the top landlocked Striped Bass lakes in the area. The stripers cannot naturally reproduce in the impoundment so VDGIF stocks approximately 200,000 fingerlings each year. This past year provided a bumper crop for striper fisherman. 4-fish limits were not uncommon, with quality fish in the 8-12 lb range a common occurrence at our scales.

Sounds good to me:D

Stocked stripers do get HUGE. My biggest was 36" long, no weight, in Boone lake Tn. Took forever to land it. I was using medium to light weight equipment, fishing for browns and rainbows.

Be ready for them.
