On another note, there seems to be an outbreak of H5N1 flu around here. Some young healthy people have died. And there is no more flu vaccine.

Well, they cancelled school in the general area here on Tuesday when the overnight low was -8 and it was -3 at 7 am. Daytime high went to 12. Normal winter conditions around here. Maybe they should cancel school until April.

better days are ahead, went from knee deep snow on the lawn...now bare , to ankle deep mud in the driveway overnight!

Ayuh,.... I guess I'm Lucky,.... My muddy back yard where I process my firewood, the mud is still frozen,....

Wood's melted off too,... just abit of ice, 'n snow down under, 'tween the pile,...

The snow was abit More than knee deep a couple days ago,... bottom of the mailbox,....

85-90 for us this week, the weather reports are saying the rest of the country will be scorching hot.

Thanks for ringing in from Downunder. Lots of folks here in the northern hemisphere tend to forget that when it's winter here, it's summer in the Southern hemisphere. As a result, their global perspective is rather narrow. Sorry to hear about those 100k bats falling out of the sky because the weather is so cool and refreshing :/

Its been below freezing here until yesterday. Had one day last week, it was the coldest temp recorded in St John's since weather has been recorded.

Then yesterday came. Temp went from -27C to plus +10C in 2 days. With it came the wind and rain. Had gusts of 133Km/h. Blew Crap all over the place. The rain dumped almost 60mm, (close to 3"). On top of that we have the most snow on the ground ever recorded. Roads turned into creeks. Had quite a few people flooded out of their homes.

Hope all you guys and gals are OK. It's hard for us to imagine weather like Musky's talking about - the coldest it's ever been here in Cleveland (QLD) is 40F and that's a one-in-ten year freakish event. Hope it warms up a little for you, but not to the extent it's done in Newfie Dan-land!

It's stuck in the high 70s and low 80s. I am actually getting kinda tired of it. 67 at 7:30PM! Can't remember last time I turned my heater on.

I know I would get sick of the Monotony of California weather. When we get stuck any type weather pattern here it gets me down. I need a change in the weather on a regular basis--good or bad. I really hate it when we get stuck in a dry pattern though and that happens a lot more than it used to. Right now we are stuck in a rainy pattern. Gets kind of depressing but still better than a dry pattern

I think if I had a choice, I would pick dry since I like to do a lot of outdoor activities. It's just way drier than any time that I can remember right now.
