Do I have to write another open letter to the Armada?
Free is free..After consulting with the Elders, they agree the title of the thread itself allows glassers, as long as they are free.

Happy Turkey Day guys..Thankfull to have this corner of insanity to escape to

Uh, yah. I just consulted with the thread originator. Aluminum was assumed and entirely understood.

Feel free to write your letter Kev. Just drop it in the comment box and I'm sure it will get it's due attention...

Gentlemen, I am sorry to disappoint you, but my search I at an end. I've talked to Wit, the gentleman selling the islanders two hours from me, and it looks like I'm going to buy it. The extreme lack of these boats in my area has really hampered my progress. So while I'll be paying about 2000 for it, it is being sold by the original owner who has kept it stored inside and actually properly maintained. Thanks for the help and advice, and I look forward to sharing it with you when we complete the sale.

I'd love to have one of these. Looks like a stable platform to fish from.

I've been talking to the guy, and apparently, it's been garage and barn kept since he bought it almost 40 years ago. So this will be the first boat I don't have to do major resto work on. Another bonus is that my friend's mother-in-law runs a marine upholstery business. So any interior work that needs to be done, I have a cheap source for. And the best part is that I can drive my boat right to the shop. Things are really looking up in my boating future.

I am disappointed, Skagen. I won't hear you whining that you can't find an Islander anymore.

Good on you, bud. Plenty of pics coming? You know what the Mob is like!

Unfortunately, I can't pick it up, yet. It's in winter storage, and they're still doing winterizing work, so it can't come out yet. He wants to wait until spring, but I think I'll jump the gun in January.

congrats on the Islander! nothing wrong with paying a little more and getting a better condition boat to start with. tell him if you can't close the deal soon, your wife wants you to buy a motor home instead......

the round things are hookah rigs for diving....just a compressor on a buoy with abt 30' of hose and a regulator. sort of splits the difference between snorkeling and SCUBA.

The only reason I can afford all my toys is because I don't have a wife. I was hoping for a cheaper Islander, but I'll just hold off on some of the boomsticks I wanted to buy. And I'm going to work other guy and see if I can't get it just after the new year.

It just said Treasure Coast, Kev. No pics or phone number in the ad. I don't think it's the same as your "flagged" glasser, but the way peeps multi post ads on CL - who knows.

My humble apologies, Master. I can't read! Also had (psl) in the title. I guess I really only pay attention to tin ads. :D At least it said Starcraft. Luke
