Re: The Official 2012 Starcraft on the Water Thread

Does it count if I show the first time this year I had my Starcraft on the water? It was in January, but I just found this thread now. Only the second time I had the boat out.

It was a warm January here.

Great pics..fun times...you are gonna remember this...
in the last picture..you're not looking comfortable while steering..sitting on the back rest of your seat??
Your daughter in back looks like she is a Bull Rider..one hand on the boat/like she is hanging on to the rope around the bull ..
the other arm in the air...hit some more big waves daddy...:D

SS - Ya loads of fun... kidsd had a blast!!! It looked more uncomfortable than it actually was... I am actually sitting on my lifejacket --- it was just blindingly bright as the sun was setting so I had to sit up to see well!

Went out for a bit today and took the pup with us. :) Boat ran well, and the pup handled it like a champ.

Thanks! Look for a rebuild thread this fall; need to do the floors, transom and a bunch of other little odds and ends. Just wanted to get a summer of enjoyment out of it first. :)

Fish weren't biting so I went out wasting fuel...

We took the Mariner up north on vacation last week.

The lake is 7 miles long and has 5 Islands.
Here we are grilling lunch at one of the sand bars.

The front Dodger cover helped keep the kids comfortable on the cooler days.

Went out early one morning fishing and had the best boat fishing day ever.

Sunrise with the Loons swimming and calling near by.

Rainstorm coming, a nice Rainbow and the fishing got hot.

Ended up catching about 40 fish. Lots of little ones and 10 nice Gills.

The Admiral loved Blue Gills and Pancakes for breakfast.

Took my daughter out another morning in the rain and we caught over 30 fish. She had fun even though she won't touch the fish or the worms. This was her first cast of the morning.

Had a great time being on the water in our Starcraft.

My daughter used to love to go fishing til about her junior year in high school. Use flies, and they won't have to bait their hook. Some people say the fish don't know if it's raining, but I think they bite better.
I finally got my boat back together and on the water. No pics this time. I need to find my camera. Almost running as good as last year. I put it on a bit bigger lake tho, over 50 miles long, 15 wide, not sure how many islands, probably 6 or 7, and about 1200 ft deep. Seriously, it looks nice there. Take your daughter (kids in general) out as much as possible. Mine lives closer to you than me.

Well Ed welcome back. I e-mailed you a while back, hadn't heard from you in quite awhile. You had someone in a big motorhome staying at your place up here last weekend. First time I been on Pend Orielle this year.

Re: The Official 2012 Starcraft on the Water Thread

Bought a bimini top from West Marine a taylor made it was labeled wrong so I took it back. Went to Boatcoversdirect.com and bought a Carver Bimini. Came with storage boot, and rear support poles for $330 shipped. It is very well built, everything is screwed together unlike the Taylor where it had the push pins to hold poles together. I am very happy with it. Took the wife and I about 1hr to install.

We took the boat out to a island in the boston harbor. MY buddy and I did some kiteboarding I decided to jump the boat. Wind was really blowing we then had to make the trip back to shore later in the afternoon when the wind was really cranking, gust to 30. Took her slow and the Starcraft pushed through. Couple pics and a few videos of the weekend adventures.
