Re: The Official 2012 Starcraft on the Water Thread

What happened to all my pictures????
My picture collection with iboats seems to be wiped out!!

They're working on it.

I gotta say though, everyone should really use a remote picture host as iboats has nothing but problems with theirs.

Awesome vid BGC! Absolutely my second favorite time being on the water! Cruising at 10 - 18 mph with the sun setting, the lake wind dead in its tracks, the water is glass and the Starcraft is hummin along!! First favorite time is as it was today for the Chuck crew: The whole family out (6yr old 3 yr old boys, wife and baby girl) on the water. THe boat moored up and everyone (minus the baby, only 9 months) jumping in and floating around in the water!

I got to spend two day on the water this past week (SCORE!)! Once on thursday fishing with work buddies on Lake Minnetonka MN (Didnt haul em in at all like Lake Mille Lacs a couple weeks ago) and all day today floating and playing in the water (Ill try and get pics to this story later this week).

LOVE EM STARCRAFTS ON THE WATER!

My son turned 12 today. Four kids and I spent about 5 hours on the water having fun. Swimming, tubing, swimming, grilling, cruising, tubing, swimming, tubing, going fast.

Here is Devin cruising.

Here we are anchored the kids are swimming and I'm getting dinner ready.

It was 98 degrees, boy was I glad to be on and in the water. Have to love the dog days of July.

Looks like you all had a great time, nothing beats the heat like being on the water.

I've never done that, but always thought it would be fun and that would be the best seat in the house.

Re: The Official 2012 Starcraft on the Water Thread

Finally got the holliday jet on the water. Had a big fishing trip planned in Montana, started wrong, and got worse. Been cold here, and I filled the tanks friday morning, expecting to leave then. Didn't get out of here til early Sunday morning, Saturday was hot and the fuel expanded and went out the vent. Took off a bunch of paint, I'm showing to better side. Got to the lake in Montana about noon and they were having thunder storms. I don't like aluminum boats on the water in lightning storms. twisted my knee Monday morning waiting for the weather to dry. Finally got out and the cable to my reverse bucket was bound up. Worked fine at home. Up to the camper and fixed that, back on the water and in 4 1/2 hours only caught 2 kokanee, about 10 1/2 and 11 inch. Then the engine started over heating, and my exhaust bellows started leaking bad, in the engine compartment. Back to shore and got that usable, but the day was over. Thunder storms late afternoon and all night, and day on tuesday. We said enough and headed home. So much for my week off work. Didn't even get many pics as the batteries went dead in my camera and my we brought the wrong size for spares. I guess some vacations are like that tho. Next one will hopefully be better. Started replacing the most of the exhaust system today as I had spare parts on a donor boat. That old boat has paid for itself a few times now. Hope you all have better luck than I did this time.

Isn't Murphy that blasted optometrist that hangs around all the time. I think I was just trying too hard to go on this trip. And bgc in about 2 more years I won't have to worry about going to work. When my wife gets old enough for medicare, I get to retire. We just can't afford to retire and buy insurance.
