Jumped up onto top of the newly constructed rear deck insert and gave it the old 100kg jump up and own on it see whether it cracks, looks like passed with flying colours
Then gave the rear deck insert a skim of VE/PB to fill the coursiness of the 25oz biaxial, then sanded and filled again on parts low parts
sanded transom
sanded the floor
placed a skim of flocote over the floor to fill some of the coursiness of the 25oz cloth, sanded off
was running short on the grey flocote and had decided the grey was a little dark, so mixed the flat grey/satin white together 50/50 which helped decrease viscosity without thinning and used 100mm roller to put down final coat
colouring looks better plus its a got a little sheen to it not too much
75% of floor finished, remaining 25% to be done tomorrow morning, so I can get out of the boat after completing, seems a few more days then no more sanding inside boat for a while
2* rear dungs installed in transom

finished the application of last flocote tonight, colour certainly looks improvement on the dove grey

engine rails get bolted back into the stringers on weekend,
set up reinforced plate on stringers to be welded

engine can then be aligned into final resting place

mocking back up the stringer rails
10mm alum plate, needs welding
Need to weld and re-drill 4 of the 8*12mm top as when I cut stringers down and glassed top /side of stringer must of placed a little more glass on there, so holes need to be relocated

will be away for few days, and will set up engine mounts starting next weekend

put back in the Z-drive,
Need to make up new 10mm thick mid-plate for the drive as the existing plate has few extra holes in from past use
getting ready to organise someone to weld the 10mm stringer engine rails
Have day off tomorrow, dropping engine back in to set up for final time
exciting

arranged for local welder to weld up the 10mm alum plate for the engine and middle mounting plate
should be all finished on friday morning, good step in right direction

pulled out the char lynn helm to see what modifications I need to do to make it work
- needs a 20 degree wedge behind the dash, made this up, laminated into place
- filled the original steering column hole
- started thinking about seats and layout
picked up some bolster seats a while ago not sure whether will use them, looks like I need to have them mounted approx. 100-150mm off the floor

anyone have any recommendations on low height seat pedestals with good shock absorber
The Char Lynn helm is being installed at 20 degrees, so should have 125-150mm underneath the seat
The side mounting bolt hole for seat is 320mm x 140mm (12.6x5.5")
