Isn't the purpose of a center console to give fish fighting room 360 degrees? I know I would be falling on my face, if not over the side.

The control cables are an instant grab bar in case things get rough. Haha

the cables running across the inside of the boat to the gunnel is horrible....kinda kills a center console effect

$1000 per Yammie and a $300 hull and trailer... I'd think I'd want all those values cut in half before I started to consider it a deal. Interesting concept with the twins though. Wonder how the weight and performance compares to a single 100hp. I just see double the maintenance and less efficiency...but I also like simplicity.

I'd say the price is pretty close to right for a currently registered boat as shown in the ad for this area. Maybe up in the great white north where boating is only a few months a year it would be different.

A working 50HP Yamaha can easily go for $1000 - $1200 around here. An 18' Starcraft with trailer can sell for $500 - $800 as well.

But of course, the bottom line price is dependent upon negotiating skills.

Yah. Well, at least 1/2 of a set of 70HP Mercury twins! I do still have the one at hand. :joyous:

Because I have had experience with Yamaha's I think if I were you I would buy the S/C with them use them on your boat then put your 70 on the donor and sell it for what you bought it for.:D;)
