When you have your nose in the bilge, check the knee braces for cracks. If it has a motor put some pressure on the lower unit to see if the transom flexes.

Only put a little bit of cash in your pocket, the seller might bite that you can only pay that much and still have gas money to get home. :D

yeah that would be nice but pulling up in a shiny dually diesel probably won't convey that much. I do plan to look at tomorrow on the way to the shop, then sit on for a couple days and call before I head out of town and see what bottom dollar is. Geographically that is not a high traffic area to get people to come look at a boat, been about 25-30 years since I've been there but the roads on the map do not indicate much change.

Well the boat is actually in Westphalia, not too much farther but interestingly he had to go into the house to ask his wife his address.

Maybe you should ask his wife how much SHE'LL take for the boat.... how does he not know his address...

There's a 25' Chieftain up for sale in NW Ohio for $800, think it might be one of the guys on here that put it up.

So how do you get a title for an out of state boat that does not have a title ?

You have to wonder why some people don't notice the little things... Say like the heaviest end of your boat is hanging off in the wind... but hey it's such a steal at 5500 so you low baller guys don't bother.

Best SC tin deal I've seen in the PNW in a long time. Best offer over 700 takes the 18' SS with dorm fridge.. I'm thinking there's not a title for boat or trailer but who knows?

At least it's hardly got any tongue weight

I 'd bet it has barely enough weight on the trailer jack to keep it on the ground when it's not on a hitch ball.............

Watermann, did you have links for either SC?

If I could tow it, the BIG tin in Ohio would be interesting...... :bolt:
Just not while I'm still married or breathing, my choice :faint2:, according to the Admiral ......

I think the ad does state the boat has title, just not the trailer, like Peter mentioned. Depending on your state, title for an out of state boat w/ out one, can be tricky, since the boat in question is over 16ft, it can't be registered sight unseen online w/ Wisconsin's DNR. That's how I do under 16ft boats here in WV, once I get registration in my name from Wisconsin, WV processes it fairly painlessly, sometimes...
