1967 Starchief
1967 Starchief
If I didn't already have 7 boats, this would be mine, but I already have two boats parked in the neighbors yard now. I doubt I could get away with another one.
I did go and look at it, it's in great shape, it needs paint but it's not abused and hasn't had a hard life. The hull is rock solid, the transom is original and still solid, and the trailer is a later model full roller galvanized model with new tires, LED lights, and a new 2 speed winch with a WIDE strap on it. It's also got two 20 gallon tanks under each seat. The deck has a few soft spots but then again at over 330lbs, new plywood feels springy to me. I didn't go through the floor but I could feel where the stringers were walking on it. It does need two new seats but for the price, if I had the room it would be my next boat. I'm sure who ever buys it will just mount up a motor and use it. After running mine with the 135hp on it, I'd venture to guess anything over 70hp would work for one of these? I've never run my 135 over 1/4 throttle on my Starchief which moves it. I suspect someone painted this one since the 67 models came in a dark burgundy color all over, I think I'd paint over that too.

1967 Starcraft Starchief, outboard powered boat, no motor.
Hull is in great shape, no damage, no repairs, and has a solid transom.
I bought this for use in the river, but my fishing needs changed and I found a boat better suited for the motor I have.
This is on a full roller trailer, LED tailights, new tires/wheels in 2008, and new two speed manual winch and winch strap at that time as well.
