Here's an 18 SS that some started to do a scary conversion to jet drive, didn't even replace the transom to fill in the hole from the Mercruiser.

18 ft starcraft aluminum hull and jet boat parts

Who was looking for a big one out west .

25 FT STARCRAFT 115 OUTBOARD

And someone out in southern Ontario or one of the northern States was looking for one of these, looks like a real good deal.

it would be nice to look at some better pics of that LS "Pod"....it loooks pretty simple to make compared to most of the modern ones we see. i realize it's not hanging motors that weigh anything near what a big modern OB would, but still seems food for thought.

earliest stern drive I can find is this

Then the next is the Charlie Strang's volvo aquamatic that came out in 59

I can't seem to find a sterndrive that would have been in a 1955 boat... odd though because it looks to have an exhaust pipe in the transom and the square hole seems pretty similar to where the steering comes out for the onan drive....... ODD

I came up with the name - Eaton Powernaut marine drive. Here is the Fibeglassics info: Eaton - Classic Boat Library

The earliest I see is 1961, I can't find any earlier info. Could the Cruise Master have a later re-power?

The 1955 Lonestar ad at Fiberglassics shows 60 and 100 HP Greymarine power in a Starliner, I don't know if that's an inboard or IO setup.

As far as I know,Grey have only made low hp inboard engines for sail boats and displacement boats.

Unless the prop is mounted too high. :facepalm: I agree a Greymarine is an inboard, so is the Aerojet. Don't know why I said the stuff about inboard or IO. But that's normal, engage fingers before noggin.

if i weren't planning on moving halfway across the country and didn't have another boat on the way already......I am now officially living dangerously, as I just sent off a deposit on ANOTHER BOAT....this one the Admiral’s late Xmas gift. No, really......it IS for her.

she hates gas motors, bicycles 120+ miles/week, and had been making noises about a yak.....then I saw one on CL for about half the new price. gotta wait til the right moment to tell her about it. trying to get rid of some big stuff (dead cars) first.

oh, that and the fact that i already have a 16' Lone star. maybe i should just add fins to mine

22' V5 open bow with a 200Hp 'Rude. Monster Rig!

no interior shots ...so 3k may be a bit steep...depending on the condition of that big 'Rude I suppose.

Too rough of condition and it looks like a custom window job. I am not convinced it's a 25' it looks more like 21' to me. Been posted on/off for probably a year or so.
Keep looking I got some cash saved up. Only thing is the wife said if she gets a newer camper this year there goes my boat $$
I can't giver her too hard of time the camper is a 1969 and our 21 Chief is a 1986.

I just checked our new Starcraft Members Map, it looks like it's only about 3 inches man, piece of cake:thumb:
