Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I just finished a 18' Mariner (78), I would definitely think about upgrading to the 22', but too far for me....

I would simply complete the resto and move over the the 2012 - 115' Etec

Thinking I need to wait another year or so, before I start another project. Still paying for the Etec, lol

But for sure it will be a 22' Mariner.

18' SuperSport with an 85hp Merc for $700.

18' doesn't show-up around here very often (alot of 16's). No doubt that she needs work (I can see a cracked splashwell from here) but how bad can it be...right    :fish:

She might even need a couple of rivets too, Blue. Can ya handle that? :D

Re: Starcraft on clist!

It's been posted before, but I don't remember the starting $ then.

$2200 Buy it Now, or MAKE OFFER:
Starcraft aluminum boat - Holiday 14' 35hp @Statesboro, GA

Maybe we should find the neighborhood & ask the neighbors how much they like having an 'old' boat in the driveway all the time. Might lower the asking

Ok looking 14' Holiday, but I don't think it's a $2K rig..... But I do like it. It's my preferred style windshield, and I am partial to closed bows.

i dunno, Bob....them identical crackerboxes seem more HOA than the Georgia you're envisioning. boat prolly violates the regs just by being a different color than the houses.....

Exactly what I was thinking the HOA neighbors might apply some pressure to get the priced dropped to something reasonable.

W/ a big honking hole (stereo/head unit probably), bare interior and an undersized OB, I think you're being at least a couple hundred high still Sig. I didn't go back & look at the pix, but does the bimini look like it's in good shape?

Now there's some serious work to fix up that tin ship including that odd hole in the transom.

There's a transom extension bracket missing, someone must have cut that hole to access the space inside the bracket:

Not sure why, it's supposed to be open on top:

So if you need to reach into it, you could just reach over the stern......

Give me a chance and I'll find pics of the stern drive that goes in that Lonestar hole. It's a strange one that rotates 180? and is removable. I seem to remember it used a Crosley motor, but I'm hazy on that. The ad JB posted mentions outboard and inboard models under Aluminum Cruisers.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

earliest stern drive I can find is this

Onan Stern Drive

Then the next is the Charlie Strang's volvo aquamatic that came out in 59

I can't seem to find a sterndrive that would have been in a 1955 boat... odd though because it looks to have an exhaust pipe in the transom and the square hole seems pretty similar to where the steering comes out for the onan drive....... ODD
