i hate to be a downer, but i don't think you're going to get the bedliner off with a pressure washer if he did any decent surface prep at all before he applied it. maybe better to think in terms of just painting it a lighter color, or at least be ready to go to that or other Plan B if the bedliner loves its tin as much as we do.

I can personally attest to the accuracy of these ^^^ statements. Softening it w/ Rusto Aircraft Stripper (3+gals only got me part way there) & scraping/peeling it up a little at a time was time consuming at best. Think of it as 1000's of pencil eraser sized globs of rubber WELL STUCK to the hull. You've got to get them off 1 by 1......

3500psi pressure washer w/ a rotary tip lifted it some but it SUCKED getting 98% it off a 14' 9" Jet. The last 2% stayed.

Hey Barato - Are the South of The Border pics a landlocked live a board? Kinda has a homey look. :)

And JB - Wasn't your bedliner ordeal confined to the inside of the hull? I just remember you expended a hellacious amount of time and energy. I don't know if topside removal on relatively flat areas would be any easier. Although looking back at the CL ad for that SS, it looks like the stuff is everywhere.

Yes, GA, it was on the inside of the hull, over all the ribs & up over the ends of the ribs too

It wasn't fun, I can tell ya that. And I wasn't overly concerned if a scrapped the hull a bit. On all that visible flat tin, I suspect you'd want to be much more careful. Besides, isn't everything but the hull a thinner skin too?

GA--yeah, that's exactly what it is....permanently bricked into position, with a covered entry staircase running up the side. i figured i should make Jas, bgc, and sevl others aware of the possibilities in case they push the Admiral too far and need alternate shelter.

the S.S. MBS Hotel..........

I am just not familiar with the seadrive system, it just looks odd to me.

IDK JB I texted the seller for some pics he said he would send some in the morning.

a seadrive is an omc outboard with a built in "bracket" .. they are obsolete and you can't get parts specific to the seadrive any more.

Not a Starcraft but this is my dream tinny.

I just love the lines of these boats. The only problem is its only a single engine.

That Marinette is so totally awesome:thumb:

Though, one thing I'd do is get that helm out of the cabin, or, maybe go dual helms ya know.
