Yep, being its a '78 it shouldn't have factory pour in foam.

Even if it did, cured pour in wouldn't ooze from a wound. Great Stuff for sure, post boink.

What is this, Starcraft on the rocks week? Between this Holiday and Jason's Monster Smash.

Can anybody tell me anything about this? From one of the above postings^^:

I mean, it's custom, right? And while I may be in a distinct minority here, I think it is really cool. Not 10K cool, though. I wonder if it's top-heavy on a 24' hull?

I agree, I think it's super kewl!~ I too was wondering if it was going to be super top heavy with something like that up there.....

26 footer? Bay, I'm thinking 5.7 there:becky:

LS based 6.0 all aluminum GM V8.Way lighter than an old iron 5.7.There are kits to mate an LS to a I/O bell housing.I know the auto vs marine engine argument.

In not 100% sure but I bet if you have the 165 with the bell housing it would. From what i checked the outdrive and transom assembly is the same regardless of ford or chevy power. I was thinking about swaping a for 302 (merc. 188) with the 165 chevy. Havn't bought the boat yet, but new ford marine motors are no longer made.

Finally, finally, finally. I've been thinking about those for sometime. I guess my only question would be about exhaust manifolds??? Would they use the standard small block exhaust?? I didn't think they did.

No SBC exhaust will mate up.The LS is used in marine applications,it comes down to finding used manis or new ones. There is thread on boat design forum about doing the swap and there was one on LS1tech forum.I know the marine engines have different pistons and cams.I'm not sure what other differences there would be.The cam would be my only marine only part I'd use.I don't get to go out much so the engine wouldn't see the hours that someone living on the water would. In that case,I'd go full marine set up.

That's a bargain. You know it will go for less. Why did you post this........ So tempting. A 25 foot CC.......

If it was only closer I would probably by in a heart beat, those little tires I wonder how far that trailer would make it. Of course unless its got good bearings/grease/ and rubber. from the picture I can't tell.

I was. My 22' started as an Islander and is now a CC. A 25' cc would be amazing. My 22' is so versatile its crazy. It floats like a bobber so we can get into many places you wouldn't believe. A 25' with a V8, ooooh so tempting!!
at first I thought you were thinking CENTER CONSOLE!!, and I said, heck yeah!! ha ha ha ha
