That's half the damage. The other 1/2 is on the bottom of the hull. He said the ground was wet so he didn't bother taking pictures.

Now, here's what I'm getting from him.
He doesn't really want to repair the boat. But, he is thinking he'll just repair it. (yup, you have it right) He doesn't really want to part the boat out. But, it's listed as a parts boat. (yup, you are reading correctly)
He doesn't really know how much to sell it for and said make him an offer (this was before I saw the photos)
I am getting the feeling he wants a lot of dough for it. Here's why: I think he said he has a Merc 5.7 in there with a newish outdrive and pricey new prop. You can see that he has a pretty awesome trailer under her too. And, besides the fatal (arguably) hull trashing, that boat looks to be in great shape.
So what do you guys think when you see something like that?
I think I'm going to go curl up in a ball and go to my happy place.
