I'll say it's great deal. She ought to haul. Or is that hull?
Hey JB - Happy recent Birthday.

Thanks GA, came & went w/ a whimper... 18hr shift Fri ended at 3a Sat, home, shower, bed @430a.....

Apparently my zombie doppelganger made a brief appearance for 'lunch' at some point and dinner @8p, but I can't confirm or deny either of those

1976 Starcraft aluminum v hull

Looks like a decent deal for someone in Tennessee, if the hull is in as good of shape as the seller claims. Doesn't say which model other than no Titile. Greenville is 2.5 hrs from me, and Tennessee doesn't require a title, on the boat motor or trailer.

You need that so you can see all the crap breaking on those stupid I/O's. Not sure the plexi would be enough protection from the inevitable shrapnel though.

I don't like I/O's because of the huge hole that it places on the stern. Straight Inboards would be interesting on something 35ft +

Anything under 35, I want an OB. Easy to work on, easy to maintain and if something goes, and the parts are handy an on the water repair isn't to difficult.

PS. I think that box is a bad addition. Dozer knows how to build those properly

Yes but Ez has made it ABUNDANTLY clear that he likes Chrysler outboards what can I say though the man has excellent boat rebuilding skills though so we can forgive that. That was one of my criteria when shopping for my supersport IT MUST be an outboard. Either Johnson/Evinrude or Mercury for ease and affordability of parts. When it comes to boat engines I follow the K.I.S.S. rule.

Early 60's 15 or 16'? Looks like maybe a 16.....

Harder then the seller wants you to believe, or THEY'd have gotten the title, right?

Both good deals if the motors fire. Good find.

WEll said JB. In my state the only person that can file for a new title is the person that it is registerd to. Prolly the same way there. My guess is he started with no title. Asked for one, and had no luck. Not sure why I am always suprised at how dishonest people can be.

I know, EZ is a confused goof!

I must say, my two most favorite posts from the man are:

"Chrysler OB's are so awesome!" (or something like that)

and...

"IO's are gross."

Yeah, "liquid fiberglass." No power, way too high on the price. It's a nice hull, though. I don't see many of these around here. I'm guessing poly resin is what he meant?

Why can't people take current pictures? Sort of like the pics with tarps on the boat.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

It looks to be on a tad to short a trailer too, winch post mount looks to be over the hitch, and the boat may need to be a little further forward on the rollers.

On a roller trailer, is the last roller 'supposed' to be supporting the transom, like on bunks?

LOTS of online suggestions of using polyester (fiberglass) resin alone on boat rebuilds, both glass & tin. None here though. :watermelon:

But yep, $3200 w/out 'newly' redone pix, no motor, not the right trailer, I don't think so....

You would think I guy bragging what a good job he did would show it more when selling it. I don't think I could even tow that rig, the trailer is so wrong with a 21 footer on it.
