Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I will search many things looking for boats and parts - fishing, alum, aluminum, boat, star, just to name a few. Also mis-spellings will have a few pop out. But as Chief mentioned sometimes just looking over all the ads is a good thing too.

I just picked up a like new 1750 gal bilge pump for $10, spelling was wrong in the ad.

Where's that 30ft trailer when you need it. Nice looking Marinette.

I called this ad, according to a 75 yr old woman, it's a 1969 holiday in great shape stored in a barn with "newer" motor. Asking 2900. " don't know how to take pictures for this so called internet".

Never had a motor?

No I/O keyhole, or bracket/splashwell for OB

Haven't seen it in person, so NO IDEA about any other details, sorry..... :flypig:

EDIT: doesn't look like it'd be an inboard only, but maybe.... Not the correct trailer if it's an inboard. Limited info, so can't really tell, maybe the wrong trailer anyway, inboard or not.......

She is a biggie!!! Don't think it's an inboard. Clean looker though.

I don't seen a keel but could it be a sailboat? Its lines look more like a powerboat, but those forward portholes are different. Its certainly different whatever she is.

I think the trailer is a homemade just for transport. Not too sure I'd want to drag her any distance on that thing. The port holes are certainly different. Wonder if she is like the Starcraft blanks - no power and no cut out for an I/O. Looks like a perfect O/B bracket candidate. Two Tower of Powers would look sweet.

I actually thought the same thing about an 'unfinished', pulled off the SC line, hull blank...

Bow ports sort of ID it as a cuddy or cabin cruiser, right?

And I didn't catch that the bow sticks out a foot or more PAST the coupler... So, yeah, temp trailer

Its a sister ship, Sylvan, like a 16 SS, but with a livewell under the drivers seat.

Looks very nice, but low compression.
1987 16' Sylvan Fish / Ski Boat

Got word from this guy, one cylinder was low, no more details.

Boat is at cabin, used 10 days a year, they live 240 miles away.

Might be worth it, if its only a head gasket. Hmmmmm....

I'm thinking more like a big cuddy. Cabin cruisers usually have the windows above the rub rail. I wonder who made her? Another trailer clue is no winch or post.

A heck of a good looker for $1500 and hopefully a head gasket.
