More windshield
My neighbor works at a auto glass shop put the glass in for me.
The last pic has the glove box template showing.
Cardboard boxes, tape and a glue gun are very important designs tools. šŸ˜‰

We named it the Krusty Krab because of the way it looks and my helper has seen every Spongebob episode. Sponge head is usually on the boat.
The last two pictures are few action shots from vacation in Cape breton, Nova Scotia.

May 2020 I decided to get a top for the Krusty Krab. Not sure how much I would like it so I bought a cheap one from the "fish" pro retailer.
It was a 4 bow type and the longest one available.
I wanted to attach the top to the window to keep as dry as possible when driving.
I removed the front bow then cut the tubes to give me head clearance.
The tubes were reconfigured to allow it to fold and two new rear supports added to support it in the folded position.
I didn't like the idea of straps along the gunnels if you were fishing.
Time to call my neighbor from the auto glass shop that also does upholstery.

Thank you
It makes hot or cold days more comfortable and gets used often. Every boat should have one.
I can't take the credit for the custom sewing but I did barter auto repairs with my neighbor. He does very nice work.
Here it is with two more at my dock.

I originally finished my deck with spar varnish but after two summers of dog scratches, slippery and hot on bare feet it was time for something else.
Heat gun and scraper then sanding back to wood.

I picked Interlux epoxy primekote then Interdeck non-skid. If this doesn't work out I will be going all aluminum next time.
The varnish was nice looking when new but I like the low maintenance of aluminum. I would rather fish then do bright work.

I do like Vinyl flooring in fishing boats but I couldn't find anything in my province. I like easy cleaning after fishing and just flood the inside of my boat with fresh water.
As a owner of a small business I try to get things local if possible.
Thank you.
Hopefully someone will get an idea ,good or bad from this buildšŸ¤”

I do like non skid deck coatings for their durability and lack of care they demand.

I wanted a lockable storage spot for valuables when I leave the boat at public docks.
Two more shelves to store things and a place for the fire extinguisher to hang.
The door has been notched so it can be lifted off when halfway open.

Great was to use the space and it keeps those items from bouncing out under your feet all the time.

My little fishing buddy holding a pair of Atlantic cod,one of my favorite fish. I have to pick my days carefully because things can change fast offshore. I always travel with two VHF floating radios, my boat has two bilge pumps with separate float switches and my kicker motor.
I put my pumps on a plate of aluminum curved to the hull shape. The small pump is mounted to nearly drain all water.
The plate is sitting on four silicone feet to prevent chaffing. It can be lifted out to clean the bilge.

The top of my window was normally used as a handle for the forward seats but the bimini top blocked that when up.
I annealed some 1" 6061t6 tubing and bent a couple of handles then tig welded on.

I don't do a lot of cruising after dark but occasionally need some light. I found a bunch of LEDs and mounted everywhere I need light.
The bow compartment got the brighter lights because it's dark in there anytime.
One more in the glovebox next to the 12v outlet.

I like that idea, I plan to do the same. I have some great memories from night time cruises.

After a long day on the water my back was reminded me of my age. Time for new bases for the seats. I picked this style because of the aluminum/s.s. construction. I made an adapter so I could use the round existing pattern in the floor.
The second one was home made with the addition bolt pattern included.
After building the seat mount I learned that just because you can make something doesn't mean you should. Much easier to purchase this piece šŸ¤”
