Today I am going to sit on my ---- and enjoy the day! I woke up this morning feeling good. Have been fighting a UTI for months(off and on). I have been on so many biotics I've lost count. Started a new one; has no bad side effects (yet). I haven't felt this good in weeks!

Sounds like you deserve a good day. Strum the 6 string, have a drink, relax.

the weekend weather has been poor up here so soon I will start working the weekends and taking a weekday off to go boating.

I find weekday fishing less stressfull. No weekend warriors ,less crowded, etc. On a related note we have Canada day on sunday and was wondering since july 4 falls on wed. which weekend is considered the july 4 weekend ?The weekend before or after?I could mean an invasion of my American friends on the lake and could boost the total boats on lake from under 5 to maybe a crowded 5 to 10 boats on a 35 mile long lake which is just terribly busy, lol.

Both weekends. Some will be at their cabins and stay thru the 4th, others will be around on the 4th, or the day before, and thru the following weekend. Basically it will be busy all week....

The weather here has been so screwy lately; if you do it ; it better be done by 12 noon; (By then its already too hot)! #0 minute showers; then it gets steamy. Can't imagine being on the water.
Had a good day! Outside at Sun up;; ;got the front yard and both front fields cut; put a new belt on the well compressor.
Went to town for supplies. Grocery store had BB ribs on sale (buck a lb) got 6. Feed store for duck feed and critter bait. RX's and cokes (3 12pk for $8)
Got some very sad news. Called to set up an appointment with my Lung Doctor. He passed with a HA while on vacation.
No plans for the 4th yet.

Bought those powerade,g2 sugar free drinks today at soo mich wallyworld for 68 cents for a 28 oz container. So bought 14 .Weather has been hot here too.85 TO 90 everyday and some with high humidity.Whitefish bay is still only 42 degrees water temp .Thinking about heading north to my brothers camp to feed on some of that 125 dollar a pound walleye .Found a loose rivet on the starcraft so I replaced it then water welded it and then fasco for good measure. While I was at it I coated the prop blades with the fasco also.No diff in performance and should be a amour coating against possible sand boo boo,s.Might hit sand once every few years maybe.

Went out at 6:30 this morning and fished until 9"00 for shad below Bonneville dam. Brought back 14 this morning and lost as many. Added that to my first day total of 18. Yesterday was the first time I ever fished for shad.

Spent the next 6 hours driving back home.

Managed to get my hungry motor home from Kennewick back to Kennewick (over 380 miles) on the tank. That V10 is a hungry beast.

Now I need to figure out what I want to do with them. Some will be sturgeon and catfish bait, some I'll try eating and ????

They sure are bony.

Are they like a herring?Theres some deep spots up at camp and rumour has it theres lake trout down there so I might as well drag my downrigger with me and give it a whirl.Theres lots of large fish down deep which may be sturgeon and lakers.Hope the big smallmouth are still hitting .A 5 to 8 lbs smallie is fun to catch. They are working on the hyway up north so that will suck .

Shad are a bony member of the herring family. They're anadromous so they eat well in the ocean before coming up river to spawn.

You catch them on tiny jigs or spoons fished very slowly just above the bottom in shallow current, 10' to 15' deep and not too far from shore. The trick is to bump the bottom without getting stuck. It takes lots of gear. I spent half my time replacing swivels, sinkers and jigs.

2 of my kids graduated high school 2 weeks ago.
My daughter who graduated, is heading off to training since she joined the Air Force.

Weather cooperated, and tilt was working, so I got to take her out for her first trip on the boat today for some fishing..
She had a blast! She caught 5 bluegill...
Me? I just drove the boat, took the fish off hook for her, and smiled watching her just be happy...

Was a great father daughter time just before she leaves this Sunday...

Dang I'm proud, but dang..... I'm gonna miss her....

Went to camp for a couple of days. For over 12 hrs fri night sat morning it did everything but produce a funnel cloud.Ive never experienced a storm like that before. At 10:30 am we had to light a coleman lantern in order to see in the camp it was so dark!My auto bilge worked flawlessly. The most amazing thing I saw was coming around the corner to the boat launch in the middle of nowhere on a very hilly rough road and seeing a greyhound sized bus parked there from some bible camp!God takes care of fools for sure.Saw 60 kids up from philly have the time of their lives in northern Ontario wilderness. It will be something they remember for the rest of their lives.

A fasco could be similar to a "O" turn my daughter came up with. It's a "U" turn and you change your mind!

Don't know if that dust is effecting anybody else; but here the air feels heavy. Lust turned 12; temp 94; H 98. TDH to think about going on the water.

Glad all the grass is cut!
