Shure wish we would get an artic cold snap like you Grub54891.

In 6 months we will have weeks of -35.

It is very sad that over 60 people suscumbed to the brutal heat in Quebec this month

'Snow' is the most foul/obscene four letter word ever uttered

In 4 months(could easily be earlier, 3?) we'll have snow on the ground that will be here until spring.

East coast N-Fl Musky ..
Today outside tying down a temporary shelter over the camper . Big tall pole canopy to protect it from this Florida sun .
Plan to next year have a nice metal shelter put in if I don’t build one myself .
‘Kind of hard to beat the price of having one setup though ..

Whiting is excellent. I call it the walleye of the south... Very similar....

I've had the benefit of tasting both. I give Walleye a little bit of an edge over Whiting, but not much.

You'd love walleye! When I head back to the Gulf next spring I will be packing my fishing gear. I have a couple saltwater rigs. Down there u never know what you'll catch when the rod starts bending...

Last year I went bird hunting week of oct 20th and up at Sultan Ontario which is approx. 220 miles north of Sault Ste Marie Ontario and it was min 90 during the daytime and 85 at night for a week.Been up there at the same time or even a month earlier and had a foot of snow.

Out early this morning; had one more spot to cut. Fished about an hour; caught 3 good size perch. Admiral called them brim; don't know the difference. What I call whiting the fish is thin; has a small mouth; and the meat is small. Mr. ph mentioned croakers; some of them get big; are good eating. My favorite is trout; sand or speckled. Haven't tried many others.
Don't mention the weather. 78 at 7; 82 at 9; 89 at 10:; 94 at 12 noon. Suppose to be high 90's all this week.

My uncle can fillet the crazy things. They aren't the best eatin' fish, but not too bad if cooked right.

If I gots to cook something "right", I ain't eatin' it... That's why I don't hunt turkey. I'll take a Butterball anyday... lol

So brim doesnt taste like blugills? They're excellent...

'bout the same to me.

Catfish are the same way as the brim (again, to me). Gotta' be cooked right. But I'm not nuts about the taste of bass either. Pike, walleye and perch are great. But some of the others have to be prepared right to make it worth eatin' 'em.
