Re: Show Your Lund!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am from the old school and haven't figured out the picture posting yet. If someone could assist me, I have a great picture of my boat that a friend of mine took on the water early a.m. I can email it, but haven't figured out the photo bucket thing. Thanks, Chuck.

Chuck, just click on the "REPLY" button just like you did to put your post on here. Below the box where you type is a button that says "Manage Attachments". Click that button and then click the button that says "Browse". Find the picture on your computer and double click it. The next thing you should click is the button that says "UPLOAD". Once it says it is done uploading you just hit submit. It sounds somewhat confusing, but it is real simple.

Re: Show Your Lund!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever take that twelve footer out on Red Lake?
Naw, I haven't been on Red Lake at all! I have not even had it out this year yet.:( I have had my 16' Starcraft out and now even that is down..... I am waiting on gaskets to get the 70hp back together. Worst part is I haven't been working much these last couple of years (I work industrial construction) so the finances aren't there for my 'hobbies'.

Here is my Lund and my first boat. It's a 2010 Lund WD-14 with an 8hp Yamaha 4 stroke. I am still in the process of getting her outfitted.

That is a nice looking boat! If you fill up all those seats I would say you are going to need a bigger motor! I've already taken the 8hp Yamaha off mine and upgraded to a 15hp Honda

Re: Show Your Lund!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hoser59, i do know that "tiny" will work hard, but most of the time will be just the wife and i and our puppy......but i already eyeballed a Honda 25 Hp...but i do wish they were EFI instead of carburetors...but that's just me.I do have a question...would i be breaking any regualtions if i do go with a horse power higher than what the boat is rated for...you see Yamaha has a 30 Hp (the boat is rated for 25 Hp) outboard that is EFI...can anyone shed some light on this...?,that would be apreciated very much. Keep in mind i live in Canada so maybe the US has different rules...
Thank you Hoser59 and others :).

Re: Show Your Lund!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi to all,
One other i would like to mention that i replaced the incadescent bulb housing that came with the trailer EZ Loading with a trailer set of LED submersible.I silver solder the wiring then double shrink wrapped the solder joints.I also bought a 1500 Lbs Marine trailer jack (galvanised) and presto ...i love Princess Auto...those who live in Canada know what i'm talking about.Everything works like a charm....not to mention that the wholle sides of the trailer are covered in reflective DOT2 tape.
Thank you,
Dan
P.S. In the pictures you can also see the trailer spare tire (non galvanized...Canadian Tire did not have them...still cost $ 98.00 !), the boat cover for when trailering and a night shot with the reflective DOT2 safety tape comming alive when light hits it.

Re: Show Your Lund!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Folks,

Thought I would do my part to keep this thread going. I have been around boats since I was a kid at our family camp and going to boat shows for years, shopping and lusting at the expensive, shiny rigs. Found some Lunds at one of these shows and the brand went to the top of my wish list. Well between finishing school and raising a family, boating always seemed to be a luxury I couldn't afford, until this year. This spring my oldest son & I got talking about going in halves on a boat and we found a nice deal on a leftover '09 1700 Pro-Sport only a couple hours from our house. I called the dealer during lunch the next day to make sure the boat was still there, took the afternoon off from work to go see it with my son and long story short, picked it up a couple of weeks later. My joke was that I had been shopping for this boat for 20 years.

We have used it a ton this year mostly for fishing, and you can see we went to the local fireworks on the Mohawk river this year, what a rush that was. The parade of boats heading up the river after the fireworks with their lights on was really cool. I don't think we got the boat out of the water until after 11:00 that night, good thing the marina we launch at is well lit.

This link will take you to the picture album I put on my profile page, if not I believe you will be able to click on my user name to take you to my profile page and you should be able to open the photo album.

I love my Lund!

Haven't seen anyone post a Lund Sirius (late 70s bowrider) yet, are they rare?
