The Smart Tabs decision was because it is not mine. This guy is more of a point it and go kinda guy. Smart Tabs are perfect for him.<br /><br />My 228 (Carrera) only runs 57 . . . There is test data at 62, both with the 320 6.2. Also, that deadrise of yours seems to be at least 18, mine is 20. Still amazing speed numbers. Going to a 4 blade along with the pitch change I am going to guess will end up around the same. Lower RPM, but I am gonna guess a push on speed. If it goes faster than 67 I am gonna lose it! <br /><br />BTW, I found your add looking for a pic of the Bandit's transom.

Here's a shot of the drive, you can see the deadrise angle there... definately not a 'deep V'.<br />

Get this...<br />My buddy who used to have that Scarab just bought a 2001 Baja 232 / 496 HO... an awesome boat. Inevitably we ended up running along side of him on the way home. We were not only keeping pace but unbelievably, with the trim just right, we started to pull away. We didn't take the GPS last night but it hit 5150 rpm and that's a little higher than last time out. You shoulda' seen the look on his face...

It tend to carry alot of different setups on the lake while Salmon fishing. The biggest spread I've ever run was 15 rods. It's nice to be able to move rods to land fish rather than have to bring them in. In all there are 29. Never can have enough rodholders I say.
