It said Waikiki on the hull somewhere on a metal badge, but that may have been the model of the Tahiti brand.

It WAS a great river boat. Used out in Blythe, CA on the Colorado River.

There are so many manufacturers of those jet boats it's sometimes hard to tell one brand from another.

I would love to post some pics of the kids but just about the time they got out of the water...............SPLASH! I guess that's why they say practice makes perfect. All I have pics of are them tubing.

This picture must be from 1972 or sooner, '72 was the last year we had that motor. I am in river just off the ocean. This is where I taught myself to barefoot ski. No training booms back then. Notice the color of the wake, the water was really polluted back then. It has cleared up considerably since then. In the background is a site that turned out to be a superfund clean-up site.

Nothing like water skiing!! The older i get the more i dread when I can't do it. 45 now and it hurts sometimes. But not given up yet! A few pics of wife, oldest daughter, and me. Keep water skiing alive and teach your kids!
