Updates are good!!

We would not want your typing skills to diminish while you are away and everyone likes to know what is going on.

Thanks!!

Hey Buddy!!!

It was great talking to you on Wednesday. You sounded like yourself. You told me how tired and "drained" you feel; but you didn't really sound that way. Your attitude and state of mind are a lot stronger than this obstacle.

When I told my wife about our conversation, she was all smiles... Especially when I told her that we needed to work on getting together again. She and the kids send their love.

Our thoughts and prayers are always with you my Friend.

Stay strong... And... Keep the dirty side down... Now, where have I heard that???

OK....an update it is. Went dancing yesterday, something I don't really do much of. Today I feel great. I may just put some work in on my old Yanner and go fishing or just for a ride. Thanks for your concerns, Bob, much appreciated.

It is always my pleasure to talk to you, my brother. I have to keep my head up and continue on without much complaining. I don't want to bring the croud down. Talking to you always puts a spark in me anyway.

I am looking foreward to our next meeting and having a couple Pale Ales or a Sam Adams. My love back to you and your wonderful family.

Yup....The dirty side is still down....but the topside is getting pretty dirty to.

You sold me at Sam Adams !!!!
Great to see you out here my friend. By the way, you have prayers coming from Korea as well. That is where I am right now on a business trip (again) !!! The guys and gals at the toolshop I am at that speak, read and write English were shown this thread. They have all joined in with me. The numbers keep growing. Got a text yesterday from the crowd at the campground enquiring about you as well. They are continuing with me 7,000 miles away.
They are a great group of people.

A Sam in your honor, Ken.

Korea? I know! We are having a party at your place right now! I've been to a dozen of them. Where were you?:D

An amazing thing happend today. Thanks to your peeps at the toolshop and your campground for their karma and prayers they sent me. They appear to be bringing bigger, better, and often challenging (sp) ways of life to me. I thrive on that.

Re: sasto needs our prayers

Thoughts and prayers still coming everyday from the Swabbie, Granny Deb family.

I have a few things I pray for everyday, like soldiers and families etc, anyone I know having a bad time.
I always pray that they are blessed with the strength, courage, wisdom and patience to make it through
that day. Then tomorrow I do it again.

Captain, right now you have the honor of being at the very top of the list. :)

Also my Aunt who is a Sister Of St. Joseph in LaGrange Park, IL has added your name to the Chapel
Prayer list and also her her living group daily prayers.

Love,

Brian and Deb

Re: sasto needs our prayers

Thanks for the love, Swabbie!

Thanks to all for your prayers and well wishes. Had my radiation treatment yesterday followed by a CT scan. Scan came up negative. Treatments are over at this time.:D Some colladeral damage done, but what the heck, I'm a little crazy anyway. I see my Doc at the VA next week.

I have to say....having this support group here has made a big difference.....a BIG difference. A few years back I went through a much tougher time with the support of one family, which was my choice. I didn't want my family or friends know about it. I was at sea at the time and made them believe I still was. I do not recommend anyone going through health issues doing it alone. I was trying to protect them, but I came to realize I was only hurting them.

In a few days I will be able to get my strength back. When I do....Look out world, here I come! :D

Re: sasto needs our prayers

I'm very happy to hear about your success and hope you feel better soon from the treatment............. I will continue to drink a toast to your health, almost nightly though :D I'm sure you know you were not the first or the last to hide a serious condition from loved ones either, the last go round, so I would'nt worry about that. Clear skies and soft winds to you Sasto :D
