Have a question about my trailer... I was out at the lake this weekend for my Birthday and of course admiring everyone's boats. One thing I noticed and have read countless times is that the bunks/ end of trailer needs to be close to the rear of the boat. My set up and not sure if it is the factory trailer but the end of the boat overhangs the trailer but a good amount... at least 2 feet... with the bunks ending about a foot/ foot and half away. Should I be looking for a new trailer especially now that I have the motor set back 6 inches? Bouttime how is yours set up?

Sorry Piece, but that trailer is indeed too small.

I finished my electrical this weekend. Wasn't really planning on it but once I got started I did the whole thing. Got one of these http://www.iboats.com/Screw-Termina...0315956--**********.327941476--view_id.163740 mounted it under my console. Ran like 4 gauge to it. Ran 14 gauge to everything else. I'll post some pics in my thread later.

First off, Happy Birthday Piece!!!

Second, glad to help with the wiring.

3rd, I took some pics tonight of my trailer but they dont show too much. I have an EZ Loader trailer with the rollers, which I love.

Found one just wonder if mine will fit... its for flat bottom and semi v... i need to go look at it just hope its wide enough... yay? nay? comments?

Could you raise your keel roller and adjust your winch post toward the tongue?

Great deal and should work with a little modding.

Agree. Shouldn't be to much work to set that up just fine for your boat. Heck, the outer bunks looks to be on adjustable brackets and there are keel rollers installed so all you may need to do is raise the outer bunks and removed the inner ones. Easy peasy. Make sure the paperwork is in order.

Hmmmm, my trailer only has 1 keel roller.

Maybe because I have the wobble rollers?

Wish I could find blue Keel/Bow rollers to replace my rotten ones....

I went ahead and placed a new topic in trailers and towing just to get some info about how it would fit... and one of the responses from Roscoe states: Also in the first photo, it looks like the front half of the trailer is torqued/bent. And there appears to be some welding in the area of the front crossmember.

I am gonna check it out real good.... hope this isnt true and its just the angle of the picture... Also called the DMV here in Arkansas and they do title trailers so if it was ever registered in AR I will need the title... Lets hope that the new paint isn't hiding gobs of rust, that its not bent, and that the PO has the title...

well didn't go with the trailer... it had a fair about of rust on it... i mean over all decent trailer... the thing that steered me away was the coupler.. when i was messing with it the guy stated that it sticks and u may have to get a hammer at times and that was to latch it not take it off. I looked to see if i could just replace it but it was not that style... it would have to be cut off and new one welded on. The whole time looking at it i just pictured my self sitting there grinding for hours like on my trailer.... bad memories! The front jack was ok but the winch was very dinky and had thin nylon rope in it instead of a strap and i mean thin.. Guess i just keep looking... thanks for all the input guys

That trailer may work out, hard to tell from the pictures for sure.

You gotta get the center of gravity figured out so it sits right and will be easily launchable too.
