Lookin good! I haven't applied mine yet, but I'm gonna give the softsand rubber particles a try... Heard good stuff about it, but also not the cheapest option. I'll let you know how it works out, but at this rate, you may have your nonskid down before me...

Ah we'll see. George Kirby called me from Kirby paints and said paint will be matched to gelcoat and sent by weeks end.
Still have a gazillion things to clean up.

I got the custom matched paint from Kirbys on Sat. Today. less than a week. Jumped right on it with prepp and paint.
Blew me away with the match. It's perfect. Laid on like silk. Used Woodonglass formula and was very happy.
Got to roll out 2 coats on gunnels. The sheen is amazing. Used roll on roll.
The pics may not show the gloss but its their.

Looks sweet! Very nice work Kev.

Have some perfect weather today so going to do the deck. Thanks Dez!
Return loop back to gunnels, deck then anti-skid applications. Bought the soft rubber medium.

Went back out this morning to do some more paint. I am blown away by how smooth and bright the sheen is with just 1 coat.
I have a 10x10x8 storage tent coming today. I'm going to put all the tools and supplies in there for the season to give me back all my interior/exterior boat space to work thru the fall and winter.

I can see the sheen from here, nice work!

TX Emoney...
Rolled the second coat on the deck today. I work nights 4/10's so I have decent work times unless I do ot.
The next coat went on a smooth as the 1st. Did the sandpaper 400 lightly to get rid of nubs and bugs.
Light acetone wipe.
While applying 2nd coat it was hard to see sometimes the 1st coat from the 2nd coat. That's how nice it shines out.
Woodonglass recipe kicks some azz.
Pics not required. Looks shiny nice like prior. Bugs already walking across the paint.

I had a stupid moth crawl around and leave his powder crap on my last coat on the hull. No biggie. It will get buffed out. But sucks when you put all that hard work and they wait right till the end to come for a visit đŸ˜³. Nice work!

Yea I got the buggies from start playing with me too. Just checked, I want to pull down the cover and sack out. Jeeeezt a little tacky and a couple of bugs. Thing is there is dirt in the cover so I want the paint a little bit with a top coat skin.
Next hour or so.
Thanks for checkin in. :D

Did you put the grit in the paint for non-skid ?
‘Nice job Kc !

Not yet Sam. You are seeing the texture of the 1700, I'm not fairing the deck.
I just got some beige "soft sand." to put down. 1 more coat on the deck then the non-skid.
So gunnels and deck 3 coats total between sandings with 400 grit. Bugs and dust stuff. :D
