hey guys,
Just a question. What do you think about this deck pattern install? Is it acceptable as it is?

Well what I mean is would you put that in your boat like that? construction ? Then they are asking $78,000. for the boat. I don't think I've ever saw a floor deck laid out like that.

Well I came to a conclusion.
- I can't tell if it's treated lumber or if it eventually got soaked w/resin.
-They can't be fiberglassed per say cause they are all square. Well I mean they can but who would install so many edges?
-They can't be called stringers/bulkheads cause it's really a deck/floor. Stringers are in place below and the floor is attached to it.
-Looks flimsy to me.
Wish I could have seen a more tutorial build to complete scenario.
Just saying. , moving along. I have 4 lettle bulkheads to place, battery shelf and gas tank install..............
Then I have something in development I want to share with all you ole farts. Stay tuned to this channel for more information.

Ya... So cut out and fitted the last of my bulkheads. Filled cavities, let set up, sanded, then acetone. After that I finished more or less the last tabbing, wet on wet 69 x 6 then 69 x 9.
For the bulkheads I @ 8 that needed sealed and edges sealed. So what I do is drive screws into the work table, wet out the edges, 1 side and flip to the other side. This lets me do the whole dingy at once instead of waiting around. Will set tom and glass.

EEEEEEEEEEEEppppppppppooooooooooxxxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyy RULES!

You're making good progress. And I thought 4 stringers was a lot, it looks like you have at least twice that and a lot of bulkheads too.

Slager Yea there sure is a lot of wood in the boat. I made all stringers/bulkheads full height as compared to original. Slight mods for my own pc. of mind. I was going to glass the bulk heads today but MAN IT's Pouring out today. Even with the tarp some rain gets in. On a cool note all the channels in place for the water to run down back to bilge are working. So water and glass don't mix.
Kinda sat in there for awhile, cleaned up, daydreamed.

I've spent some time sitting and thinking too. Sometimes I'll have a small thing I can do, but not enough time for the larger jobs, so I'll just enjoy sitting in the boat for a while.

I hate it when my tarp leaks into the boat. I'm going with sealed foam filled chambers, so until they're covered with deck, I have to shop vac them out. I've figured out some things to do that reduced the amount of leaks which has helped keep it dry.
