OUCH! Sounds like one of my famous moves. Admirals leg is still healing from her fall getting out of the boat the first time I took her out in it almost 2 months ago. We don't heal as fast as we did when we were younger.

Funny thing Eric, 1st thing I thought of was that lawnmower falling on top of you. Looks like we are in the same boat.

As for the enclosure, It does seem high a Micky says, but its built now, I would reduce the front and side window openings, and build an overhead electronics box for flush mounted radar and such, but thats just me.

Good ideas...I have plenty of time for that what with the weather changing and all. Thanks!

Just a visual comparison of the metal vs. wood cabin. Not to scale of course. Hope the pic lays in.

Yup Mick not a nice thing for sure. Same here. The cough is a killer. It's a slow heal. 1-3 mos.

The Budge boat cover showed up earlier in the week. I figured with this cracked ribs I wasn't going to be able to build a cover the way I wanted it to be. I got it oversized so I can add internal components to span it out for movability and add a zipper entrance.
1 arm bandit likes the way it just pulls/rolls into place. Ran a rope front to back to pick up slack, then will figure it out from there. Pics later.

Installed cover loosely on sat. Went well. On Sun we had light rain. Unit was leaking at stitched seems and very low puddle areas. I was going to modify cover on sun but seeing leaks with such a light rain made me stop.
Just dealt with the mfg and amazon. New cover coming on wed supposed. Oh well.

One of the reasons I use Amazon a lot as well; returns are usually pretty simple. Sorry your new cover was leaking, but glad you've got a replacement enroute.

Thanks Emoney. Amazon has made my life so much easier.
Between my wife's and sons disabilities Christmas shopping and other things are sooooo easy to do and I hate going to stores. !!
So this was my first return/exchange. Policy is make order return, print return free ship ticket, new unit shows up in a few days and you have 30 days to return old unit.
I was concerned to have to leave the boat uncovered. So the return policy is great.

I feel like I need to put a bunch of "made possible by Amazon prime" stickers on my boat... thats the first place I check for everything... I go to the usual culprits website to find the PN,model, etc, then its off to amazon to see if its cheaper
